The International Visegrad Fund offers Master's and Post-Master's scholarships awarded to sutabably qualified person against next academic year.
(1)African Union Scholarship Scheme
Bachelors, Masters and PhD in leading African Universities, 50 scholarships for Bachelors degree
Benefits
The scholarship covers all fees related including tuitions and examination, return transport from home town to University and a modest subsistence allowance.
Field of Study
Science and Technology courses.
Age: Below 25 years of age.
(2 )Pathfinders International/West African Research Centre
46 Fellowships to be awarded for the 2010/2011 academic year at master and PhD levels
Benefits
Full scholarships that cover all cost including living expenses
Field of Study
Asset Building & Community development courses, Knowledge, creativity Freedom courses and Peace Social Justice Courses.
Qualifications
Citizen of Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal
3 years work experience.
(3) KAAD Scholarships for Master Degree and PhD Programme
More than 2000 scholarships (including 6 months German language training programme) is being offered by KAAD for African Students annually.
Field of Study
Any Course offer in Germany international Universities.
Benefits
Full scholarships that cover all cost including living expenses
Qualifications
Age limit of 32 and 35 years for Master and PhD respectively
Admission in any Germany international Universities
Second Class Upper and/or good master degree
Purely for Catholic Church members
(4)The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes for Master, PhD and Short duration Courses for 2010/2011.
More than 2500 fellowship programme to foster capacity building with organizations in 57 developing nation including Nigeria.
Benefits
Full scholarship to tuition, books living expenses and transportation.
Field of Study
A field relevant to organization growth and economic development
Qualifications
Admission in approved courses
Admission in an approved Dutch University
Admission before applying for the scholarships
Recommended by employer but not a large industrial, Commercial, international or Multinational organization
Submit application before deadline.
(5) World Council of Churches Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies
The WWC scholarships are open to all women and men who are recommended by a church or related church/christen organization
Benefits
According to the budget of the course as it is approved by the National ecumenical scholarship committees.
Qualifications
A candidate should have completed secondary education plus basic training for employment and have several years working experience related to the proposed field of study.
Candidates are requested to commit themselves to return to their home country after the conclusion of their study.
Duration/Field of Study
Any relevant study but at master degree level only. Maximum of two years. And candidates must be 45 years and below.
All these programmes are billed for next year as deadline for 2009 has passed but the deadline for submission of 2010/2011 is late this year. Preparation is cutting edge of event. Any interested candidate for next year can start preparation now because most of the programme required that candidates should hold a firm offer of admission before applying for scholarship.
We do advice that that application be submitted latest by April 2010.
