VACANT POSITION- ACCOUNTANT.

Job Location Lagos

Key Responsibilities • Formulation of Finance/Accounting policies to support a company with a tendency for growth and diversification.
• Ensure that financial policies/procedures are efficiently implemented in accordance with generally accepted Financial/Accounting practices and statutory requirements.
• Boost the financial health and dynamism of the company through efficient utilization of manpower, attention to details, co-ordination of Accounting duties, thorough analysis, prompt financial reporting and safeguarding of the company’s assets.
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
• Stock Management
Educational Qualifications • First degree from a reputable higher institution.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant
Age/Work experience • Minimum age: 35years old
• Minimum of 7years post qualification experience in structured trading/services/manufacturing environments.
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Excel
• Very conversant with at least two (2) Accounting software.
Skills Required • Technical proficiency in Accounting.
• Strong IT skills, as well as working experience with accounting software.
• Must be trustworthy and appreciate the importance of keeping information confidential.
• Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills necessary.
• Proactive, common sense and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical skills and solid working knowledge of internal processes and controls.
• Demonstrable ability to self-direct, organize, prioritize and effectively manage multiple engagements
