Are there no more jobs for CHEMIST

With a DISTINCTION in chemistry one stil have not found a job. Does it mean excellence no more count, or there is no more need for chemist? Just wondering. I know this not pecuiliar to us chemist but a nigerian phenomenon where jobs are not defined. What do u think can be done to make what one who studied in the higher institutions find a place of relevance if that person is not a doc, eng, or lawyer.
