FELLOW NAIJAS, I'M A GRADUATE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN.I STUDIED HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY, MOST OF THE JOB ADVERTS I SEE NEVER ASK FOR PHYSIOLOGY AND MOST PEOPLE WOULD TELL ME THAT THE COURSE I STUDIED IS NOT RECOGNISED IN NIGERIA.I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO GET A JOB IN ANY MEDICAL FIELD. PLEASE WHAT DO YOU THINK I SOULD DO ???
Re: ARE THERE NO JOBS FOR HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY GRADUATES
I think we are in this together.
I studied physiology at the University of Port Harcourt. Most people i have asked about the feild say it is more of research and Nigeria is not developed in scientific research thats y some people say it is not recognised in Nigeria.
There are some jobs that dont require any specific feild. Take the banking sector for example, you just need to be a graduate and be able to pass their tests and you get the job. So all hope is not lost yet.
On the otherhand, you could further your education by going for MBBS or doing a masters programme to give you more job security. That's what i hope to do immediately after service.
ThankGod you are on this forum. There was once i asked for info on Direct Entry admission into MBBS at UI and UNILAG but got only a reply from UNILAG.
Please can u help me find out if UI takes direct entry from other schools and their requirements? I graduated with a Second Class Lower (3.4) and i hope to further at UI.
I would be very grateful if u can help me get this information.
Thanks.
