Clarinda, definitely those consulting companies are the best place for starting a career as compared to banks. You will be given the best training that will give you the edge for a more rewarding opportunities in the long run.
Sure banks may be paying a little more but you can still move to the banks after spending a year or two. I know at least two staffs of Deloitte that are now working in the banks with fat salaries. So if you have the opportunities, avail yourself with the abundant training opportunities in the consulting companies.
