Organizational Setting

The Information Communication Technology Section provides project-oriented information and communication technology (ICT) services to all the Divisions and Sections in the Organization, working cooperatively with staff in the Other Divisions and maintains information systems and to provide them with system analysis, software development, software contract management and maintenance services.
The ICT Projects Section consists of staff and apprentice including consultants. The working environment involves a level of confidentiality typical of information systems and software development.

Main purpose

As a member of a team you will carry out analysis, design, implementation, maintenance and documentation of a constantly evolving range of ICT solutions running on diverse platforms, as well as to evaluate and propose hardware configurations as integral parts of applications.

Role

The Programmer is a team member in developing and supporting in-field software products.

Functions / Key Results Expected

To design, develop and implement software, the identification of hardware and the provision of associated documentation, for stand-alone, LAN and in-field applications. To work with users in defining and analyzing their requirements for software applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

In-depth knowledge of computer programming and system analysis and design in order to develop efficient, correct and compatible programs and to oversee the work of project staff. Familiarity with safeguards accounting, inspections and management information is an asset.

Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals. Ability to work in a multicultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity. Ability to propose innovative solutions in the subject area. Strong customer orientation: ability to establish and maintain productive partnerships with internal and external customers/counterparts by gaining their trust and respect.

Education, Experience and Language Skills

University degree or equivalent in computer sciences or a related field. One year of practical working experience in programming, including at least 3 months of recent experience with the development of client-server and web-based multi-tier applications. PHP/MYSQL, Java Script etc. is a MUST.
Candidate in other discipline with relevant IT Certification could apply.

Experience with system design, development and SQL Server in a Windows environment with object-oriented and component-based software development is important. This includes such platforms as; IBM mainframe computer, Windows 2000 and 2003 server and client, UNIX workstation and stand-alone personal computer; development tools such as Visual Studio Team System, ASP.NET 2.0, SQL Server 2005

Applicants must have at least one international certification. (Optional).
