i'm totally upset with the 'friendly' take over of our IBTC by Stanbic bank (first telecoms and now banking...these .co.za folks are unto us) . I hear that there will be salary increases (as well as layoffs too) and also the infusion of stanbic's clout and wealth of experience's in international banking into the Nigerian banking sector is quite welcome...heck , maybe finally we will gain access to such financial gateways like paypal (which is a big plus for internet entrepreneurs like yours truly...i.e. if they don't employ some 'olodo' CEO that has only Kapli Harvard degree), STILL the patriot in me kicks against the takeover because i particularly take pride in IBTC as a statement of Nigerian 'sabi-ness'.


well, i would really like to find out what y'all sensible Nigerian folks out there think about this 'merger' . We could do with some insider scoop by someone actually working there (off course if them catch you for insider trading, i no dey oh ::) )
