i need 2 know about this (uac shares transfer)

i lost my dad for over 12yrs now' he had shares with uac,now as his son i want to claim them. i've done the necessary reqirements, but was told by uac that since all these years the dividend is been paid into his account. pls how possible is it that his shares could be paid into his account without it been lodged inn by somebody. or is it possibble for uac to pay directly into his account. if so how do i claim it from the bank. thank you i need you guys advice
