Engineering versus Medicine Which is more demanding?
Coolguy,
That question is very controversial, sentimental & difficult to answer.
Because you can rarely see anyone who studied the two courses; engineers will say theirs is more difficult, while our Doctors will not agree to that.
So, expect lots of opinions to this your question.
As for me, I Remain on the Fence.
Coolguy,
It depends on area/place of specialization one find himself. A doctor working in federal Government hospital is just like ordinary staff in government parastatals except for the fact that they work on night shift. If the doctor is content with the job, there is no much demand on his work unless he decides to combine his private hospital with govt. owned, then his work will be very demanding. The same applies to engineering profession in the sense that if one get a job in govt. or oil producing companies, the work will not be so much demanding but if it is oil servicing and multinational construction companies, i can say it is really really time demanding. I have some friends working in Shlum,Halli,Baker,julius........ their work is so demandng that they dont even have time 4 themselves talk of other people. The worst part of it is that they signed bond with this companies 4 a specified no of years b/f leaving them. Some of them are bored of the work even though they are earning high. Some married ones in their midst at times do not see their wives for more than 4 months and their families are in trouble. I can say that this kind of work is highly demanding compare to any medical profession. Why i say so is b/c no matter how time consuming ur medical profession can be, atleast u have time to see ur family members.
Mmmmm.. ;D
