E-passport & its observation page

Hi all,

I want to be sure of something. I just got d new e-passport & really it is in replacement of d old one I lost lately. Now, I'm contemplating endorsing its observation page with the fact dat is it a replacement of d old one I lost.

U may ask, why this? I've been refused visa to a particular country over 3 years ago and there's need for re-application later in d future. But however, I want to use this new passport for a fresh visa application now to another country entirely: ALL JUST FOR VISIT. Won't there be discrepancy: if I claim this is my 1st passport (to this new country I'm proposing to visit) and by d time I re-apply to d previous country (since they already have my details & I have to indicate that this is a 2nd passport to replace d lost one). What proofs do I need pls.

PLS I NEED YOUR CRITICAL ADVICE IN THIS MATTER.
