Check yourself and search urself in and out.
What are ur desires?
Where do u want to be in the very near future?
What do u see urself doing in few yrs to come?
What career did u plan for urself initially?
and which direction are you thinking right now after graduation?
I bet you if you can answer sincerely the above questions i posed you,
your decision will be as easy as you ever imagined.
If you have fallen in love with the Corporate world and its offerings, it will be difficult for you to go and lecture...............
BUT.................
If you desire more degrees and intend to educate yourself more in your chosen discipline, then you may be doing urself more good by taking up the Lecturing job.
It may amaze you, you can still go back to Corporate environment after few yrs if you so desire.
Oil and Gas giants hire PhD holders.
Banks hire Doctors in Economics.
Wish u luck in ur Decision making process.
Yes, i agree with Teadewole. it's all a matter of what u want for ur life. is it d corporate world or d academic? where do u want to be in say 5-10 years? And please do remember, u could get caught up in the corporate world and forget all about educational advancement.
well bros academics isd the in thing now o only that you have to be really focused if you want to be there and you have to keep upgrading yourself.
So if you feel you are up to it then go for it you wont regret the decision. But if you tire to read like i have heard some people say then academics is not for you then.
God bless
Hi
Boy, it is better for u to go for Lecturing above every other thing.Banking job, there is money but u don't have time for urself and people at the end of the day, spend the money for u.Choose Wisely as u wear the shoe and know where it pinches u most.
Greatest Physicist,
I'm also A graduate of Physisc. I got intrested in this and decided to say give a little piece.
What interests you most? Do you like the academic environment? If you have dreams of pursuing higher degrees- Phd etc, then the campus is the place for you.
Men if i were you, i'll take the lecturing job cause you will still have time to do other tthings like personal business.
Others de find one you get two, you lucky oh!
Congrats men.
Pls go for First Bank a word is enough for the wise...........

i once considered this decision after finishing service. my dream is to be a I.T consultant in future so wen a private where i served offered to retain me even after getting a bank job too. i only starting as a lecturer is wot will ultimately lead to my dream.now am on my ms. in u.i.
please choose right. the money in bank cud just be a trap if that is not wot u actually want
i'll advice you take the lecturing job, it will pay you in the long run.
Lecturing and Banking are 2 different fields that one could successfully build a career in. So it all depends on what you want. But i think Lecturing could open you to greater ideas and you stand a better chance in politics (If that is an option for the future)
hi,
ill offer d fllg advice:
1. pray hard - if u do sme things will start coming into ur spirit, like u will just develop a feeling good / bad for one of the opportunities, and dt settles it.
2. search ur mind- do u like to read, reseach, if yes, go 4 lecturing, ive always loved to lecture too, dt has been my childhood dream but as i grow up , i realised i dont have dis serious flair 4 reading and dt ill like to be in d corporate world and so at best ill just establish a school in future
3. dont look at d pay, dis is pretty hard exctly considreing d nigerian economy, cos im also in a kind of ur shoes right now, but looking at it critically, first bank is one of d lowest paying banks so.........
really dont knw what else to say, hope dis helps.
cheers
CONGRATS EGUOLOR. MY ADVISE IS THAT YOU KEEP CALM AND DECIDE, BUT IF I WERE YOU, I'LL GO FOR LECTURING; REASONS BEING THAT I'LL HAVE ENOUGH TIME FOR MYSELF, USE IT AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD MYSELF ACEDEMICALY AND THESE WILL ALSO BE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE FOR ME IF I STILL WANT TO GO INTO THE BANKING SECTOR. I WISH YOU THE BEST AS YOU ASK GOD TO DIRECT YOUR PATHS MY BROTHER.
