It depends on where u are working. If am to say engineering graduates working in multinational oil companies are the highest paid. can u believe that there is an engineering graduate - Elect/elect to be precise that is earning 1.4m a month in exxonmobil though an experienced staff.

I know u wont believe it! but that is the truth, he is an instrument engineer in production department. His salary is paid in dollars but when converted in naira is 1.4m per month. Note he is not sitting there to collect such an amount, he is a trained staff, an expatriate currently with master degree in instrumentation from UK university.
It sure depends on the organization were the profession is being practised.
In the instance given by eeguru, if that same engineer who earns 1.4M per month is to work in any other sector other than Oil, he will definitely not earn anything close to 1.4M in a month.
My Uncle earns 1.73M monthly...he retired last year...not Engineering, he did management sciences.Quote:
