Job synopsis:

Provide input into lead evaluation and prospect generation on matters regarding reservoir continuity, porosity, permeability, seal assessment and water saturation.
Assist in preparation of Oil in Place and recoverable resource assessments, both deterministic and probabilistic of exploration and appraisal plays based upon analog data.
Prepare sedimentological models including depositional environments and diagenesis.
Provide input into exploration and appraisal well selection and design.
Work with the exploration team to integrate results from drilling into previous geological interpretation.
Prepare geological modeling for field appraisal/development utilizing petrophysical evaluation, core analysis, MDT, DST and production data working in conjunction with exploration and engineering staff and contractors.
Document interpretation results in a clear and concise manner. Contribute to the reports and presentations generated for host governments, state oil companies, regulatory agencies and joint venture partners. This includes representation at TCM’s, OCM’s and JMC’s as needed.
Evaluate shallow geo-hazards and provide appropriate risk assessment in conjunction with staff geophysicists and contractors.

Job Knowledge, Requirements and Most Critical Job Skills:

Proven understanding of all aspects of geologic interpretation and prospect evaluation, including concepts of hydrocarbon reservoir, source, trap, seal, timing, and migration.
