Vacancy at Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme (NSRP) for Regional Manager

The Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme (NSRP) is a DFID supported project managed by a consortium of International agencies; British Council, International Alert and Social Development Direct. The programme seeks to deliver interventions to reduce the impacts of violent, conflicts and promote reconciliation processes. The focus of the project will be on the National level and in eight focal states.

NSRP is looking for committed and experienced individuals to join the competent team of professionals in this innovative and exciting programme:

Job Title: Regional Managers

Job Location: Jos, Maiduguri, Kano and Port-Harcourt

Job Description
The job holder will manage all programme activities within the region and also provide technical lead in overseeing media relations, resource and logistics management in the region. S/he will be responsible for initiating and managing relationships with stakeholders in the programme. Other duties of the Regional Manager will include: providing support for the development of stakeholder engagement, conflict analysis strategies and administration of risk management policies within the region.

Main Duties:

• Oversee satisfactory delivery of technical outputs in the region.
• Provide management and oversight to the regional team.
• Initiate and manage relationships with stakeholders, including state and local governments, state and local government advisory committees and partners organizations in the regions.
• Support development and regular updating of risk management strategy including safety and security management in the region.
• Lead on public and media relations in the region.
• Support regular conflict analysis and development of stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Provide oversight to management of resources and logistics in the region.

Experience
Project management

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing or supporting management of development, conflict management and peace-building projects in any part of Nigeria.

Staff management

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing and supporting a team to achieve results

Public relations

• Minimum of 3 experience of managing relations with governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or other relevant fields and appropriate experience
• Postgraduate diploma in peace and conflict studies, development studies.
