Job description

EGINA is a deep offshore oil and gas project in Nigeria , located 150Km from the coast .
Development in 1500 m water depth includes a moored FPSO ,an offloading calm buoy , production loops and injection lines .
Gas is exported via a pipe line.

• Check the level of HSE training of personnel employed (company and contractor)
• Provide specific discipline HSE instruction (on the job, legally requisite, training)
• Check on application of HSE policy and related reference documents (directives, rules, specifications, procedures)
• Take part in the preparation and attend the meetings of the HSE committees
• Contribute to defining ways and means of identifying and minimizing risks, and the impact of activities, in particular for construction/ commissioning activities deemed at risk on site for simultaneous operations or in downgraded situations
• Take part in supervising the drafting of reference documents (directives, rules, specifications, procedures)
• Check on enforcement, efficiency and maintenance of the HSE-MS
• Take part in HSE studies and risk assessments undertaken for the execution of the works
• Contribute to the completion of permits and the documents needed prior to works on site , and see to it that prescriptions are applied
• Perform audits of installations and take part in “Job Safety Analyses”
• Contribute to preparedness for emergency situations via training and exercise plans
• Supervise reporting on incidents, accidents, anomalies
• Take part in investigations and analyses on incidents, accidents and anomalies
• Ensure HSE performance monitoring and the related benchmarking
• Participate in planning of HSE performance improvement and associated monitoring
• Manage the follow-up of execution of actions determined after incident, accident, audit and inspection analyses
• Make sure medical and first aid materials and equipment are available on the sites

Required skills

Education BSc Engineering class of grade 2.1 or HND Experience 7 years experience minimum including 3 years on construction sites Skills Teamwork capability

I wish to know if anybody was called for the last advert of Total for the position of HSE Engineer,i want to know the nature of their test for this position or is it interview direct.I have just applied for the HSE SUPERVISOR,it pray i will be invited.
