@agbamhon1-One week from d 2nd email
@Tunaxt: Everyone that applied for the technical position surely got some technical questions in the cognitive assessment. However, I do not realy get what you meant by your inquiry here, are you realy saying you didn't get any numerical question coz the cognitive part of all the technical applicants I know consisted some technical decision & numerical problems. So, I may want to say probably you didn't apply for a technical role, or you applied as experienced or something. From a previous post which I assume was from a commercial applicant, I can deduce that commercial applicants also encountered numerical questions.
PS:
Are you referring to the competency based (1st) assessment or the cognitive (2nd) assessment which you'll get after scaling through the 1st.
If you're referring to the 2nd having done the 1st, then are you sure you followed the test to the end coz after the series of untimed technical questions, timed numerical questions should follow.
What did the mail containing your assessment link describe about the test? Did it say just technical or both?
Depending on the content of the mail, you should be confident you're on track.
Also, I hope you must have received a confirmation of completing your assessment & kept on hold while your application is reviewed.. If you've not received that & don't receive it in the next 24hrs, then you may want to go back to the assessment via the link or contact the email in the link for further instruction.
Finally note that we're all in the same known at this level of the recruitment, so always take personal efforts to resolve personal issues as all we can do is to suggest & advise rather than solve coz we aint Shell or Kenexa or Cubik staff.
Wish you the best in finding a comforting answer/response/clarification to your question/inquiry.
@catchdwind, nice...
Was anyone BOUNCED after the second test stage? It seems after this stage we'll just sit and await Shell's response.
Those questions were consuming. Make I go sing inside rain.....lalalalol.
Well, I'm still on course....Letting my assessment breathe
Hey folks. Wish us all the best. Just to ans two questions: 1. You can use your fone for the assessment all tru (depending on d type of fone I guess) cos I used mine, 2. Even if you hadn't attached your docs till d end of the assessment, you can always do so as long as the position still reads "open" under application status. To do so, go to app maintainance under "edit profile"
I got this error message after clicking the submit button of my second assessment "An error has occurred. Please contact [email protected] for assistance. Any information you can provide such as a screenshot of the error page and a description of when the error occurred would be helpful."
Although i have sent a mail to them awaiting a reply, please has anybody encountered this same issue?
@blackdiamond-all you need do is relaunch the link.it may take you back a little or just show your 'submitted' status.
You probably had an internet down time.On the other hand,let's hope they respond on time,hope you included the screenshot in the email.
hello house..... pls what is the 1st stage question like.... any info pls help
@Blackdiamond & Kainos: I doubt a relaunch will solve that issue described o. He said he just "FINISHED the SECOND ASSESSMENT" & got the error after clicking SUBMIT, which means that he has started the timed test already. If you read the mail containing the 2nd assessment link carefully, it reads in summary "you can come back & take the untimed cognitive part but once you start the timed part you must complete it within the allowed time". So, from my judgement, he has crossed the limit where he can come back having already started the timed assessment. However, there is no harm in trial but I think he's on course or in the right path to getting a solution by contacting them.
PS:
For web gurus, most sites are designed to drop cookies & caches on your pc (or even email) when you use them so as to limit the no of use (mostly for trial applications & sites). So, if such is used for this, you can't repeat it. The way out will be for them to send you another link with a different identity code from the one in the last link that must have been saved in your mail or pc. Your only challenge here will be time (1wk) hoping they reply you asap.
I think your internet must have slept before you completed the assessment. So, should you get a second try, ensure to have a good internet strength before proceeding.
Best Wishes.
Shell’s CART Assessment criteria
Shell assesses applications based on its ‘CART criteria’. This is a list of four key competencies, including:
- Capacity: intellectual ability; problem solving; creativity; and analytical skills.
- Achievement: personal motivation to set and meet targets, monitor progress and adapt to new tasks.
- Relationships: team working, communication and leadership skills.
- Technical skills: enthusiasm for and understanding of the area applied to.
NB: The technical requirement only applies to engineering and scientific roles; commercial applicants are assessed based on the first three competencies only.
