I forgot to add something, they asked "with reference to ur technical research, what will be ur advice to an E&P personnel"? Check how u can relate ur work to exploration n productions of oil n gas. Maybe I studied geolgy, that's why those questions came in.
Chunaf: thanks for ur timely info....how many pple were in the technical presentation panel and who were they made up of?
We all did same thing (MSc n BSc) sake presentations, and interviews. No differentiation! Lol
We were 7 yesterday n our assessors were 6 in numbers. Four from area of study (geology n geophysics for my own). And two from Human resource department. All will ask u questions.
I thought d tech presentation is different from d tech interview ?
@mrsmith: after ur presentations, comes the interview n plenty basic questions in ur area of studies. And people from ur fields will be there, if u studied mechanical engr, expect two assessors to interview you. Year 1 n 2 things basically n things u said in the course of ur presentations.
what about contact details of ur srd coordinator? was it emailed to u?
@chunaf. were the questions related to your presentation only or did dey ask you general questions from your undergraduate discipline?
@chunaf: I'm more interested in the case study. How was it and was it as difficult and most pple make it out to be. Around what time did the whole process end?
@chunaf, thank you very much for your timely contribution. You r blessed.
We started 7 n finished 7 yesterday. When u get to shell gate, call Mrs. Oke the number is in ur invitations, she will direct u. As per the case study, there's nothing to it. Its what they gave to study, u will be asked to give back, then ur field of study, know the basic things.(year one n two basically). Engineers should know physics wella sha! Lol! And relate it to either exploration production , maintenance etc with the e&p industry.
It is well! So basically we should know d basics of our field of study and also be able to relate out technical presentation to the oil and gas. The problem is wat will we be doin from 7am to 7pm!!! I am officially scared
