Quality control officers (ref: Code) qc 002

Our client is a leading member of Nigeria’s power industry. Since its inception, the company has focused all its efforts to establish itself as the country’s foremost generator/heavy equipment dealer offering remarkable products and after sales support. Hence they require the services of a Quality Control Officer.

QUALIFICATION: Mechanical /Chemical / Welding Engineering or any related discipline

MAIN DUTIES:
• Assure supplier compliance to QMS and regulatory requirements through supplier monitoring process.
• Ensure all quality control processes and standards, inspection policies and procedures are in place at production facilities.
• Manage testing activities and report testing issues to Manager
• Routine inspection reports to Manager
• Plans and direct activities concerned with development, application,and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes,materials and products
• Devises sampling procedures and programs and develops form and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Develops and implement methods and procedures for disposal of defective material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and make immediate corrective action as required.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENT:
5 years experience in similar position in manufacturing environment (preferably steel and power coating).
Age range 27-35 years.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Knowledge of ISO standards of operation.
• Previous experience in Quality control related role.
• Provide technical support in areas of production related to quality / ability to navigate computer software program.
• Ability to audit process/work to identify root causes & assist with implementation of corrective actions.
• Possess leadership capability.
