PROJECTS ENGINEER WANTED
An Oil Producing Company in Nigeria, requires the services of an experienced Project Engineer

Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) with minimum of 15 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas Design, Installation, Construction and Maintenance Projects.

Technical and human resources knowledge necessary for running World class, successful & high quality Projects within Schedules, Budgets and high HSE Standards.
•To plan, lead and coordinate Project EPCIC activities from initiation, through work scoping, Engineering and Design, Tendering, Execution to Commissioning & Hand-over; a duration estimated at 5yrs.
•To initiate & establish project consolidated planning and coordinate the progress control activities associated with the establishment and management of overall Project schedule and individual contract work time schedule.
•To use Company rules, guidelines and procedures and best work practise to establish a set of procedures suitable for the controlling of the project.
•To prepare & manage project estimates/budgets and plans for works including extra works, follow the cost control process and ensure the Projects is executed in line with approved budgets.
•To initiate, establish project consolidated planning and coordinate the progress control activities associated with the establishment and management of overall project schedule and individual contract work time schedule
•To organise, monitor and drive project contract activities including call for tender preparation, pre-qualification, call for tender preparation, tendering, tender evaluation, and ensure award recommendations are made in the best technical and commercial terms.
•To prepare & manage the Project Contracts (EPCIC - Detailed Engineering, Procurements, Facilities Construction, Installation & Commissioning works)
•Responsible for the follow up of Engineering studies, procurement works and construction contractors’ activities.
•Organise & participate in Project Technical Reviews with TEPNG Head Quarters, through TEPNG Engineering Dept.
•To define, mobilise and lead the activities of various site supervision teams and contractors on the project and ensure project is executed in line with project objectives (cost, time, etc) in adherence to quality and safety requirements.
•To identify deficiencies, issues/problems that cause delays, recommend solutions and drive approved remedial actions.
•To provide project consolidated reports to Manager Projects, ECP Management and coordinate the internal and external reporting with other departments and external authorities.
•To maintain contact with hierarchy, head office (through ECP Engineering Dept), vendors and contractors and ensure all technical and contractual issues are properly handled.
•To hand-over fully documented and commissioned installation that is Operable to Operations/Production start up team.
•To organise the preparation of documentation for the overall project reporting where and when required.
To ensure As-Built documents are prepared as required and project close-out report prepared at the end of the project.
