POWDER COATING LINE SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Production
Job Title: Powder Coating Line Supervisor
Reports to: Production Manager Business Objective: To supervise the painting department and ensure that all products are painted in accordance with specification and quality standards. The Company: Tranos designs, manufactures and installs complex mechanical, electrical and
process systems for heavy industrial and high technology clients.

Core Working Relationships: Production Manager, Powder coating line personnel, other production personnel.
Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
? Ensure that painting operations are planned effectively to meet production deadlines.
? Perform preventative maintenance to equipment to include cleaning nozzles, checking/replacing worn or broken components, and as needed assist in troubleshooting malfunctions.
? Conduct quality checks at each stage of the painting operation.
? Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures: complying with legal regulations.
? Ensure the safe handling of powder coating machines.
? Plan and execute a production schedule.
? Ensure that all coating line personnel work according to the production plan and handle the equipment professionally to avoid injury to themselves and damage to the equipment.
Requirements ? A good BSC/HND in Engineering from a reputable institution. ( A degree in Chemical or production engineering will be an added advantage)
? Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role.
? Good communication and interpersonal skills.
? Good knowledge of powder coating systems and paints.
? Ability to work with minimal supervision.
? Proactive (ability to think and take initiative) and must have problem solving skills.
? Ability to work under pressure.
? Ability to plan and schedule production.
? Must be dedicated and responsible.
