Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
we know how protests go in Nigeria. Just hope arrangements, plans have been made to secure the security of everybody going there on the day and that the process will not be hijacked by touts and area boys to create havoc that will be attributed to the faithfuls.

I just hope NHJ would not be DOWN on the 4th of June. And i realy wish there could be a means through which we could inter-communicate betw the protest town/state on the D-day so as to keep track of our activities. Any suggestion ?

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Having studied the issues raised , I would want to make some suggestions as regards the proposed "protest"
It isn't a protest in the real sense of it, it is actually what I will term a fact-finding mass
action aimed at finding out the reason for the delays, or the purported
suspension of the recruitment process. It is also aimed at having the
management's word on the position of things as regards the recruitment
exercise and its conclusion.
My point essentially is that we should be as factual as possible, not just base our arguments on hear-says.
We should be as civil as possible, present our points as logically as
possible with superior arguments. As alluded to in my initial post,
there should be no reason for the annulment of the recruitment process
since budgets have been passed to that effect. We just want to know the
reason for the delays, and demand for it's successful completion.
Our demand should be premised on the 2008 precedent. We should remind them
that the last time there was a reshuffle in the management of the
corporation , an ongoing recruitment was thrown under the bus. Apparently
Engr. Oniwon's term as GMD of the NNPC is to end in june. Our argument
therefore, is that since Oniwon started the process, he should complete
it in his tenure, because he is the one accountable.
We should guard against detractors who might want to sabotage the process, bringing
in unrelated issues. We should be cautious in our choice of word
especially the inscriptions on our placards. We should not give the
NNPC/DPR management any excuse to gain public sympathy. In other words
we should eschew violence in all its dimensions.
The world is watching, and I believe with the right comportment, grace and God we can
make our points known, create the desired awareness and commit them to concluding this exercise.
Once again,
GOD BLESS THE HOPEFULS,
GOD BLESS THE NNPC/DPR,
GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
4th of June, the day that the Lord has set aside to answer the crys of NNPC/DPR hopefuls. Its time for us to take what God has given to us, at this point, we have passed the point of NO RETURN, the protest must hold even if its a 1 man protest it will hold cuz I will be that one man. If David had only prayed Goliath will still be alive, faith without work is death, we have prayed and fasted but this is the time to go out and out we must go. NOTHING DEY HAPPEN.... The world must hear us
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
D June 4 PEACEFUL PROTEST MUST HOLD by God's grace bcos NNPC mgt had taken us for granted too much. In fact, I met a friend yesterday in lagos working in a construction company, he told me, with facts, that a colleague they finished NYSC together this year Feb, was employed by NNPC immediately he finished his NYSC.No wonder, things become like this. Why NNPC doing all these rubbish.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
We must stay true to the reason for the protest.we are not asking nnpc to employ all of us,they will tell us we are in the wrong place!what we demand is a detailed explanation of the reasons for the delay for a process that officially started in november 2010.we have an example of the 2008 process that followed this same pattern and was eventually cancelled. There is also d DPR recruitment. If there they were not interested in recruiting, there could have saved us the untold stress and hardship we have all gone through the various stages of this recuitment.an injustice to one is an injustice to all.nnpc is a national oil company and belongs to all nigerians, civility demands that they treat nigerians fairly in all their deailings including this recruitment process.pls wateva we present must be factual and not just hear-say.i rest my case!
