basic:60000 b.sc guys 65000 others the same.
transport:20000
launch:44000
tea:22000
hazard for refinery operator:20000
total aprox=146000 minimum
housing=1200000
generator=aprox 320000
security=50000
upfront(housin,gen,sec=2.1m paid evry january)
other benefits:car loan 1.7m interest free 10% mnthly sal.
training allowance 15000 per nite.
min of 15% salary evry year.
the above info is 70% true as at before negotiation.it wud b slightly above dat nw.

I have a friend that got the job of an operator through the 2006 recruitment exercise, he works at the Warri Refinery and I gathered the following information from him:
1) 600 Operators were recruited in 2006 with 150 deployed to each of the 3 refineries and the remaining to other NNPC subsidiaries. The operators were more and usually more than GTs. I think the said GTs were about 400 then, not quite sure of the number cos I had the discussion with him in june when I got my interview letter. They were even told at the training school that it's the highest number NNPC ever recruited. I pray and hope they employ that much if not more this time around too considering the fact that the 2006 recruitment was the last successful exercise carried out. Guess they recruit every two years but that of 2008 didn't see the light of the day. Infact, they should recruit twice the number this time cos they ommited a set(my personal opinion).
2) HND(operators) and BSc(GT) earn the same salary(no discrimination) except 4 some allowances which are based on job functions such as hazard allowance 4 refinery/rig guys, etc. while the OND(operator) earn less than their HND counterparts.
3) The training lasted about six months and it was done at Kaduna Poly then.
4) Then, the recruitment exercise attained a fast pace after the interview. The medical/commencement of training took place within 2 months or thereabout after the interview.

Hi everyone. A friend who had the interview same day as me said he got 20k paid as transport allowance paid into his acct. I can't seem to find anyone else who got paid. Not saying the allowance means anything to me but I would just love a confirmation cos I find it a lil strange for him to have been paid while the rest of us were not.

that's good posts. It's amazing to think candidates are ranked on a so freely and friendly interview as that. How reliable are the sources of these revelations? Is a million dollar question.

What i saw during the normal filling of forms b4 d ntavw was a form by filips consulting, the total scores 4 d interview is 50 marks. Knwleg of nnpc 5marks, dressing 5marks two other criteria carry 5 marks each. Analytical... 10marks. Ability to think outside ur comfort zone or something like that10, another criterion which i can't remember 10marks totalling 50marks. The criteria given by philips consulting are semantically different from the ones above. I only stated the explanation of the big grammar they used. This is 4 gt. you weren't there at panel 5, so u don't av any point here. On the 17th of august, i had my interview wit 7 men. It's was like a round table stuff. I sat faci the chair man so i had about 2 persons close to me left and right thou about 2 feet away.
