A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

One thing I have observed in life and which this forum has further corroborated is that some people are too skeptic. They come around for information but they never want to believe in anything positive. All they always want to hear is that things will not go well. They are negative, negative and very negative people. As much as I don't have information about what is happening inside NNPC, I believe the information at our disposal are too much in the positive for anyone to continue to doubt. Minister have spoken, Director of dpr too spoke, provision has been made for new intakes in this year budget. This information was presented in the public domain and all of us have access to the news. For me patience is what we need to exercise. Time will sort everything out. Let everyone get busy with some other things and keep praying. Some people I know will query why prayers again but we should remember we have resorted into activism and even this has yielded no result. The scripture says "There is time for everything under the earth" and when it is time, NNPC letters will be released. This I believe. I am not a skeptic and I refuse to be one. And for the skeptic - A man is the product of his thoughts. If you always believe it wont be well, then it can definitely not be well so keep faith and hope alive no matter how dark things look.

Lol.... Guy, long tyme! I thought I knew what your 2012 resolution was until I read dis post. The interesting part of most of your posts especially late last year was that they brought life(+vely and -vely) to the thread that I usually ended up laughing. I am very surprise that the calls, did not come in today, bcos i don,t see any good reason that will make the letters not released today, bcos the ministry budget has been adopted by both houses, or is it PIB as there calim, NASS has promised speedy passage of the bill into an act. Infact nnpc can release the letters and resumption date can be in three months time, as in the case of firemen that was released on june 18th 2010 and there resumption date was 7th sept 2010, let see what happen,s next week, if nothing happen next week, i for one will believe that what i was told that some names on list that is in contention is not yet iron out between the minister and the management. Bcos decision like this normally comes after board meeting.God will surely give us victory.

@Sidimury: Honestly, I am not comfortable with how u addressed vin20. perhaps, the frustration. NNPC 2010 recruitment is seriously being attacked with they development of events. There are so many things that could caused a change in intended plan. And so it will be better if we can control our emotions especially not to attack persons personally. We need to pray harder for God's will concerning the exercise. This is because God only knows what is good for us.

From my own point of view, there will be a shake up after the probe in the management of oil subsidy. This shake up will refine the leadership and business of NNPC. Bringing transparency and prudence to the sector. May be the 2010 NNPC recruitment will be cancelled since there were revelation that some staff are being paid while the refineries are not working. Even though such claim was denied. Or again, if those that are not productive are relieved of their job, then the chances for new entrance will open. However, going by the power of PIB, there will be exponential demand for labor, which will lead to recruitment. But all these take time to unfold. Our expectations should depend on the chronology of events affecting the sector. My take is that NNPC will soon go into a more serious business, exposing the competences of their aging staff, include some of those that cannot perform relatively. If i may ask,is it the workers fault that the refinery is not functional nor the management, even GEJ is very much aware that the refinery are not funtioning ok, and if i may ask again? Wch work do all these civil servant working in all this federal ministry, department, and agency do.this is not pecuiliar to nnpc alone, infact nnpc case is far better bcos the organisation can pay frm it own IGR, but most agency can not pay frm there IGR,

Fellow Hopefuls, info from an nnpc staff (don't ask any further) says letters are expected to be dispatch between now and end of the month, this is seconding earlier post with same info...as we have all being doing lets keep d hope alive and pray to see the end of this after a very long wait. Good news the cordinating minister of the economy on friday, restated that GEJ in two or three month time would have restrutured nnpc and would hv implemented pib programmes, there4 nnpc can or may release the letter,s frm now to ending of this month, and resumption can be in two or three month time, bcos this recruitment process is a product of post pib,anyway this information is frm my source .

With all due respect it seems u and most especially ur source r just formulating theories and guessing randomly. He gives u info based on his permutations, as u can see here.

Reminds ♏ε̲̣̣̣̥ of my friend that told ♏ε̲̣̣̣̥ all he wants from nnpc is †ђξ refund of his transportation cost as he flew round trip unlike very sharp bad guys like ♏ε̲̣̣̣̥ that split †ђξ trip. †ђξ truth is that there is no cart in front of any horse as it was never stated or announced that wε would get a transportation refund. Wε only filled †ђξ form provided & their excuse would be that there wasn't any clear cut commitment on their part towards paying us transportation refunds. so my dear friend, kindly focus on †ђξ horse & let †ђξ cart go where it pleases.

For those saying that we have departed from the main issues and discussing our own opinion, we are Nigerians and as a matter of fact, we can put things in perspectives and more also criticize logically what is being posted. We can not come to the thread, read and nod our head away. Its by doing so that we can hv a likely and logical chances of the outcome of event. Likewise u H.G.I.S, even if vin20 is coming up with his side through permutation or combination as the case may be, I tell u, the actual outcome of the NNPC recruitment will depend on certain factors as the probe and others. And that is why some one can tell u that letters may not come now with all the heat around the sector. Its logical enough u will agree. In more related terms, its has been said that with the PIB, there will be more jobs.These are processes and facts. If for example some posted on the thread saying "Bcos of the probe going on, our letters will be released today", ok, may be u will start cleaning ur shoes for resumption. To me all has been going well on the thread apart from few cases. Some determined guys wrote article some time ago and we all agreed and published bcos we (majority) felt that going by the turn of things, it will be necessary. My believe is that we are more closer than ever before now, Good night and nice week ahead.

This NNPC must be a very lucrative job and wonderful organisation.
