I have a hunch that this current reforms in the oil and gas sector auditing( to be carried out by Haruna, Yahaya & Co. and Sada, Idris & Co.) of the account and activities of NNPC from 2009 to 2011 may turn to the favour of the hopefuls. The reason I have this feeling is that NNPC would want to 'justify' the huge amount earmarked for the 2010/2011 recruitment exercise.

Its public knowledge that nnpc is under staffed and with the imminent changes in its operation and the petroleum industry at large, even if d minister is sacked tomorrow the process will still go on. I'm more concerned abt the GMD's role cos in my eyes he's the one that decides what happens.
The dpr, nnpc, nlng recruitment exercises r running concurrently, imagine the minister coordinating all three at once, each with their specific criteria and challenges.
My point is regardless of whom d minister is, the process goes on, but a change in leadership of a subsidiary can change everything.
Just my opinion (thinking out loud).
I just want to correct u pls.
Nigeria LNG ltd is not a FG parastal.I worked there before. They recruit any time they want without seeking FG's approval.Infact,NLNG is fully conctroled by SHELL.

why these auditors? i guess they have ANAN and not ICAN because northerners are known to embrace ANAN. I hope they do the job well.

@ shampoo: this sort of sentiment out of share ignorance is the basic predicament of our country. It's stupidity of absolute quality and naivety of infinite magnitude to see just the name an accounting firm and associate it the north or ANNAN. There's no need for u to advertise ur ignorance. Some people are mere educational illiterate. I am a CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT ( MEMBER OF ICAN) from KEBBI STATE. Comment about Audit is not for ignorants to make!

    Dear NNPC hopefuls,
I will like to use this opportunity to urge you guys to just try and widen your job search. You guys have better opportunity out there 100x better than NNPC. I never receive a feed back after the NNPC's test but I thank God I did a well advanced job test outside of the country and got an offer after all the recruitment process. Why keeping your "eggs" in one basket. What will you guys do if NNPC should cancel the recruitment (God forbid)? Wake up guys!!! It sadden me that no one is even posting job vacancy(ies) or any relevant information that would help a lot of job seekers with opportunity out there. Instead arguments, abuses, all sort of irrelevant posting have become the other of the day. Check out other international job networking site and see their approach to any issues. Well, just to help some guys who are interested with the attached job vacancy. Opening for FIELD ENGINEER for subsaharan Africa. Deadline: 25th JANUARY, 2012. Send your CV by email to: [email protected] or visit www.welltech.com for more info. Wishing all everyone best of luck. Cheers

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

For how long we will continue waiting for this NNPC jobs, I am afraid that some people had not been employed and we will just be waiting for nothing. Can't we go ahead and challenge NNPC on this recruitment issue from House of Assembly, FCC, Press, National Human Rights Commission or what else can we do, so that we can be told on what is happening, have dey employed their people or what is the real issue? Pls, house adivise bcos God will not come down to fight 4 us.
In fact, we need to challenge NNPC, reinbursements had not been paid since July/Aug we did interview?I am also thinking of sending article to press on this issue. We just want NNPC to come out and say what is the delaying factor (information) dat is want we need. PLS HOUSE ADVISE.

The delay is a serious concern for everybody. However, let us be patient and see what this speedy passage of PIB will bring for us. I know we shall all laugh at last.
