Just received the text msg early this morning inviting me for a written and oral exam. The text reads:
"by dis txt, u r invited to seat 4d NDDC/UNITAR OIL Industry Specific Skill Training Scheme written n oral exams. Date: Tue Nov 9 n Wed Nov 10, 2010 respectively. Venue is Interlink Technologies, 45 Aba Road, 2nd Artillery Junction, PH. Cm wt original credentials n 2 forms of ID. 1 mst carry ur photo. Dnt delete dis sms. Present it on arrival. Enquiry 07034479646"

what i heard is that, Only those in the engineering profession will be considered. Plz house how true is this? Like me, i'm a geologist.... Is there any hope for us?

Got anoda sms dis morning saying that my time 4 d test is 6pm.i have been trying to reach d no dey said is 4 enquiries since but dey are nt responding.did any1 get anoda txt sayin dsame tin?am kind of worried.

YES, they've successful candidates for 'alternative to practical exam and oral interview'. The oral interview took place immediately after the practical exam. I jst concluded mine. NORWAY, here I come!!!

For those who took part in the alternative to practical exam and oral interview. I wish u all success, most especially MYSELF! From what I gathered, we are going to be contact latest before the end of Nov. Lets jst hope and pray that they hasten up the next step of process and that merit and credibility will be there watch word.
Any news on dis yet? as in, the outcome of the interview. have they shortlisted?

@berex, 1st i want to say congrats! cos dis is d 1st step of ur trip to NORWAY 4 d training. my discipline is elect/elect and applied for INSTRUMENTATION. I wrote my 1st test on the 9th NOV, and was invited for an alternative to practicals and interview the following day being 10th NOV after succeeding in the 1st. we were all given d same questions - 50 general quest on maths, coding and logic, english for 60mins - for the 1st test which is computer based. ...no current affairs! NOTE: WHAT EVER YOU DO. DON'T END THE TEST BY YOURSELF! Else, you WILL be disqualified! If u succeed in dis 1st test, u will be called for another test (here questions will be base on what u applied for and which will last for 10mins) and interview the following day. I wish you success!

@ Davo3246, plz throw more light on the test format. MATHS (word problem, graphical, etc.) ENGLISH (analogy, comprehension, or true, false, cannot say), LOGIC (spatial reasoning, or word problem logic ie 3 men and 2 women are in a bus. How many men face each other). SKILL TEST format - theory or calculation? Plz your urgent response is needed cos i have the NDDC Petroleum Engineering / Geology test on monday 29th Nov.

Honestly guys, I cant say 4 sure what the 4mat for this one will look like. But as the one I wrote on 9th and 10th dis month of NOV, i.e the NNDC/UNITAR Oil Industry Specific Skill Training Scheme, i can say something. ehmm, d exam was not difficult, it's computer based, 50 quest , 60mins. At the end of the exam, we were all given a supplement of 10gees flat. I think this one might be a little diff. but I'm quite sure that it WILL be computer based.
@okenwe and 2 all those that care to know. 4 the math- 1 or 2 word probs, geometry, logic/coding (See an example below)
Example: A certain coding system was used to code d word EXAM to GZCO. Using the same system to code the word - POSTMAN. Which of the options a - e is correct?
(a) SRWOTAB
(b) SRVWPDQ
(c) SRPDOTW
(d) RSDVQAZ
(e) RSVQADY
Answer: (b) SRVWPDQ
4 d english - analogy, synonyms/antonyms, example: If Moon: Satellite then Earth: ?
Dats all i can remember. I cited these example from the exam on NDDC/UNITAR own which I wrote about 2weeks and 2 days ago. It might not be the same for NDDC Petroleum/Geology Scholarship thing. Good luck!!!

Guys, d test is for drilling training not scholarship.it was just a mistake on d part of d organizers.
What I want to kn is if we will be reembossed our TP to PH cos I am in lagos.
Guys dat will do theirs on monday shd inform us.
