My dear i beg to differ with the 30 mark idea cos i have to say that NDDC wouldn't give a interview opportunity to a candidate with a score of 26 if they know he had no odds of winning the scholarship no matter how small the odds will be. Going by your hypothesis it therefore means these group of candidates have been wasting their time going for the interview.

Too many theories abound, I know of a certain girl, all she was asked was to sing the national anthem. How can you judge a person's intellect from that? I personally believe the interview was a charade to get the money allocated for the interview process and they would have to fall back to the scores to make final decisions . I mean face it, these people were paid on a daily basis and were to stay in luxury suites for 2weeks. Judging from our Nigerian nature, we would still want to enjoy the spoils of office and go ahead with the interview just for protocol sake. Ask your friends who were interviewed for the RSSDA Oversea PG scholarship program and let them tell how thorough the interview was. If NDDC wanted the best they would have brought more engineering professors to be on that panel.

Mine and Can Do's interview was very very tough. Make no mistake about it. We were grilled and drilled.
Re: Nddc scholarship 2012 is out
Frankly I dont know how the interviewers determined what to ask who. But I know that while others laughed as they sang their national anthem, I was seriously considering bailing out from the room during my 'interrogation'. As wiseguy said it wasnt funny for us, it seemed to me they knew more about my course than I did and I had to work hard to defend myself. Anyway, time shall tell if it was for my own good. In the meantime...' ..my soul be still and know that God is by ur side' ..'for what is impossible with man is possible with God'....;and He has plans for me for success and not failure'...'even lions go hungry for lack of food, but he that trusts in the lord lacks nothing good'...oh Father, into Your hands I commend my spirit.
Re: Nddc scholarship 2012 is out
whatever happens, when the list comes out we can still compare the name of the beneficiaries to those that were called for d interview.
Re: Nddc scholarship 2012 is out
The Interview/Aptitude Test was 0n a 60/40 basis.
Now every interviewee was given a numerical score based on their performance.I must say that the interview was very unstructured and did not have any outlined criteria for assessing the interviewees.Questions were thrown at random and from every unimaginable field. Some guy said he was asked to recite the national pledge while another claimed he was asked to list the course modules of his proposed course.
In all this however, I believe the following criteria summarizes your score at the interview.
1.Your Dress Code
2.Boldness and Charisma.
3.Diction and ability to express yourself intelligently.
4.Knowledge about your course of study.
5.Ability to impress the panel.
After this session, every candidate is given a score. At this point in time the list is handed over to the NDDC.The commission then take top scorers and applies other criteria.
1.How relevant is your course to the Oil and Gas Industry and NDDC?
2.What is the rank of your school and the duration of your course?
3.Nigerian Factor.
At this point, those who were at the top of the list may find themselves below due to criteria 1 and 2 above.Criteria 3 then brings in their replacement.
So it is not so much your performance that counts.
However in all of this the God Factor counts most.Wish you well.
