Re: NDDC Post Graduate Foreign Scholarship Program 2011
Nigeria is a disgrace to the world with all these antics. I pray to God that it gets better. Please nobody should come to this forum to celebrate how he/she got this scholarship legitimately because it will annoy a lot of people, me inclusive(i know u have your right to air your opinion, hence my right to my own opinion as well). nobody and i will say it again NOBODY deserves this scholarship as there was no bar/gauge/competence level that was tested at the interviews to determine who merits the scholarship. Its a ploy to show that they are keeping to propaganda and MO, hence they send out their inlaws and friends and girlfriends and boyfriends and so the list goes. The lucky few that God actually ordained to get this scholarship( i wish i was part of them) don't have to come on NHJ and talk about how legit or try to proclaim NDDC praises because it is not because you are better academically than me and the other contenders or prospectively chosen a course of interest to the region but because God Almighty has said this is yours. And the ones that had the opportunity to influence theirs(i also wish i were part of them too) also dont need to come to the forum and give us BS(bull s**t) about how they are legit awardees as i would say keep quiet and utilize your scholarship funds to better yourself and come back to better Nigeria positively.
All in all i am tired of coming on this thread and reading people praising NDDC or the process. Whether you are from the 2009 or 2010 set don't come here to praise NDDC because you are receiving a good life over there in the comfort of your well airconditioned studio to type on NHJ( you are not in our shoes). NDDC is what it is, same goes to so many other Nigeria govt parastatals as well as companies operated in Nigeria and influenced by our way of life(exxonmobil and co)... They are all f***tards. My advise to everybody hustle now and complain later. As much as possible change what you can now and leave the rest for later. My personal moto in life is "If you dont like something, change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it." Thats how i approach things, especially those related to Nigeria. We can petition all we like, but i really pity both the ones that God has given the scholarship and those that influenced it, because if the NDDC should forfeit their duties to pay up alot of people are going to be in some really serious problems(that i don't wish for anyone). Conclusively as for me as exxon don show me and my brother tripleC pepper with over two year silent wait after medicals and NDDC nor give me scholarship i don hustle carry small money go US don start my masters for the past two months,as i finish by God's grace with a distinctive GPA i go get better jab than exxon and i definitely wont leave my fate in the hands of all these dubious people. I advise people reading this to ALWAYS HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE WHEN DEALING WITH THINGS IN NIGERIA. THINGS WILL NOT CHANGE NOW BUT I HOPE IT CHANGES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO YOU ALL AND MY UNBORN CHILDREN WILL BENEFIT.

You sounded very bitter at first, I understand because these things happen everywhere and they can be very painful at times. In the end I want to congratulate you, at least you are now in the US doing Masters. The truth is: Masters degree abroad (US, UK, France, Europe, South Africa or even in the Moon) doesn't always guarantee a good job. Experience has shown me this. I have add a lot of friends with First Class degrees in Nigeria + Distinction in Masters abroad who are still roaming the streets. Why? because they think just having additional Certificates will get them jobs automatically. As you are studying, make sure you master and specialize in the industry relevant aspects of your course. Look at the industry where you hope to work, checkout the necessary skills needed get into that industry, tailor your masters degree in that direction (including your final project). These will help you in the end.
Wishing you the best in your endeavors.
Re: NDDC Post Graduate Foreign Scholarship Program 2011
Hello mates!
Please I need an advice now as my school has discontinued the course I applied for.
They advised me to go for another related course for January intake, but my fear is whether that will affect my scholarship because NDDC had given me an award letter based on the formal course.

Bryandavid nice work! I hope the guys whose names appear on these lists visit this page soon. They should really be ashamed of themselves, denying the legit guys their right by coming in through the back-door.

Re: NDDC Post Graduate Foreign Scholarship Program 2011
I have attended the NDDC scholarship interview twice, last year and this year and i met a guy that said the coordinator was his uncle( the short fat mat) and as I pleaded with the guy to talk to the man on my behalf for this years scholarship, he claimed that he had done that buy at the end of the day my name did not appear but the guys name did.
The guy said his LGA was and oil producing one so they would have a high quota and it happened as he said and every name from that LGA appeared. I will try again next year and see if i can get hold of the coordinator and i pray God will help me.
Re: NDDC Post Graduate Foreign Scholarship Program 2011
Heard in NTA network news yesterday(Friday,02/12) that the new MD of NDDC has approved the payment of the scholarship fund by next week. Can the NDDC scholars in the house confirm this or send a mail to their schools to confirm receive of payment.
