Am out alive. I was asked what is the latest news in the petroleum industry. An indirect questn about pib
Hmmm... hmmm... WORD! WORD!! WORD!!! dat is d son of d prophet speaking.
had mine on 18th. asked me the usual stuff like what d u know abt nnpc, what skills do u have that could benefit the company, my undergrad project, what does nnpc do to benefit common man on the street. i guess they have a pool of questions from whicch they pick at random. Guys should pay more attention to what is being discussed here cause i think its all repetitions. all questions they asked me were very much predictable and i answered as best as i could. the only one i suspect i did not convice them was when they asked what nnpc does to benefit poor man on the street. I started telling them abt the revenue generated and how it is used to better the life of common but they cut me short telling me that is not what they mean. As I opened my mouth to tell them the right answer someone blurted out the answer that nnpc refines crude oil which common man uses as a source of fuel. I seethed inwardly for that is just abt what i was going to say. Lastly they asked if i have any question and i said i have a couple. one is whether i could be able to work on weekend. they asked for clarification ans i simply told them that i hate idleness and left to me saturday should be made a working day. that amused them but i was straight faced and on realising that i was not kidding they said something abt fatigue and its negetive effects but that in some cases i could be mandated to work even on weekends. i was about to ask another question when they told me that time is not on their side and thanked me for coming...........all in all i think i did pretty well but i would put my chances at a 50/50. I was somewhat disappointed that they asked me very trivial questions and absolutely nothing from my area of specialisation.
Thanks All! I believe we all would get there if we work and pray for it.

it is well NHJers, it is certainly well.
My Interview was a interesting and awesome experience. Was welcomed with a joke about my height, then the Panelist introduced themselves... I was so thrilled to have the top guns of NNPC carefully introducing themselves to me as if i was the new Minister of Petroleum. I was then asked what was unique about me, What i thot about the clamour for NYSC to be scrapped, What my Final year Project was about, which appliance utilized the 2nd law of Thermodynamics ( I studied Mech Engr), and other questions related to my responses. Why i wanted the job instead of a Bank job cos i had a work experience in a BDC... Over all it was cool, friendly and exciting. Thanks to this house for all ur help and i hope my testimony helps some other folks who havent had there interview.
I asked when was the likely time the job wld start and was to the recruitment process wld be thru by mid August and they wld get back to us latest by end of September. Wish U all the best... Cheers
