HSE Officer Job Opportunity

The Health, Security & Safety,Environment(HSSE) Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring compliance with Safety and Environmental Health policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Promote health, safety and environmental protection as an integral part of the duties of management along with the education of all employees.
b) Supply appropriate information, instruction and training to promote a high degree of awareness of health, safety and environmental concerns and the responsibility of each employee to prevent injury to themselves and others.
c) Develop and implement policies and procedures designated to promote safe working practices and environmental protection and encourage healthy and safe operating conditions in all companies.
d) Implement practices and procedures for the use, handling, storage and transportation of materials and substances and to eliminate discharges and omissions that could harm the environment.
e) Ensuring all safety procedures are followed and adhered to
f) Keeping all safety logs, records and information updated
g) Enforcement of the company safety system and safety codes
h) Promoting safety awareness amongst staff and contractors and ensuring compliance with company laid down safety procedures
i) Working with staff to minimize and prevent accidents and hazards in the work place
j) Ensuring company safety policies and systems are updated in line with new and current safety practices

REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum of a BSC in related course.
•2 years of Safety and Environmental experience in the Oil and Gas Sector.
•Candidate must have obtained a NEBOSH Certificate
