i'm to go 4 an interview in a consulting firm and in most cases,accountants especially chattered are preferable but i am a scientist.pls help on tips dat i might use to greatly convince the panel.guys who's gone for pwc and kpmg interviews,u gat to drop something on this post.1oks people.
make sure you read economic/ biz news. be familiar with the trends in the Nigerian and global economy. try to speak like an economist small and convince them you can blend easily. I was once asked to talk about any current news about the Nigerian economy.
you should also have a standby answer for 'u are a scientist, what are you looking for in our firm?'
In addition to trouble's comment i think you ve to proof or at least convince them that you re beyond a degree person... Check them up on d internet, i mean d company, and know their core values... Then ensure you table your strengths along that line... One last thing on d economic news stuff tell them you follow trends in the market Jst shakara them any goverment policy wey dey hot! Put it to them that you re versatile and easy to train... In a nut shell show them you can work wit minimal supervision.... SELL YOURSELF...

Try to find out engineers and scientist in such fields eg Auditing, banking etc.
You can start by convincing them in case if they ask you why you choose to work with them as a scientist. You start by telling them engineers in the banking and auditing sector that are doing very very well.
I think that will really help.
