Maintenance Engineer, OTC > Close Date: Not specified

Job Purpose/Scope
Planning and implementing all maintenance schedules for the equipment in OTC manufacture along with associated services i.e. compressed air system, HVAC system and chillers at the GSK Agbara site. Also, to identify and implement improvement activities in the assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities
1) Work with internal customers to plan and scope the maintenance activities
2) Prepare and implement maintenance schedules
3) Lead OTC maintenance team including scheduled team meetings
4) Manage day-to-day maintenance activities, liaising with contractors and the factory operations teams as necessary, ensuring no unplanned factory disruptions
5) Generate monthly reports and submit to Engineering Manager
6) Keep up to date with regulations and standards, both GSK internal and Nigeria regulatory, that are relevant to the assigned areas equipment
7) To comply with site health, safety and environmental policy and with the site standards for work wear and actively support GMP requirements.
8) To take part in continuous improvement programmes
9) To Develop project User Requirements Brief, specify plant and equipment to be used, when ever any equipment / system needs to be replaced / upgraded
10) To Develop Project Investment Proposals for projects

Qualifications, Experience
1) B.Sc / HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
2) Good communication and influencing skills, be able to motivate those working for him/her and must be able to make and implement decisions.
3) Working knowledge and experience of computer office programs, particularly Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and be prepared to be trained on other programs.
4) Working knowledge of the engineering standards and statutory requirements for plant, machinery and workplaces applicable to a large volume consumer products factory.
5) Continue his/her professional development according to Personal Development Plan agreed with Manager Engineering, and participate in other training as required.
6) 4 - 5 years experience in maintenance of pharmaceutical equipment

Competencies
1) Hands-on experience of tabletting operation will be an added advantage
2) Good supervisory knowledge is essential
3) Customer focus and understanding the importance of delivering services safely and to cost, schedule and quality commitment
4) Knowledge on GMP requirements and EHS practices

Bottling Engineer > Close Date: 31-May-2012

Job Purpose/Scope To ensure the implementation of maintenance activities (planned & unplanned) for the equipment in Nutritional Health Drinks (NHD) Manufacturing and Bottling including associated services at the GSK AGBARA site.

Key Responsibilities 1) Work with internal customers to plan and scope the maintenance activities
2) Lead the team in the development, planning and implementation of the effective maintenance methodology which ensures that glass, PET, Canning and manufacturing plants are available to produce good quality products within agreed budgets.
3) Lead Bottling and Manufacturing maintenance team in scheduled team meetings
4) Manage day-to-day maintenance activities, liaising with contractors and the factory operations teams as necessary, ensuring no unplanned factory disruptions

Job Purpose/Scope To ensure the implementation of maintenance activities (planned & unplanned), adequacy and safe use of electrical installation at the GSK AGBARA site

Key Responsibilities 1) Work with internal customers to plan and scope the maintenance activities on electrical installations
2) Keep up to date with regulations and standards, both GSK internal and Nigeria regulatory, that are relevant to the safe use of electrical systems on site
3) Support Services in optimizing performance of Electrical generation and distribution systems
4) Ensure electrical standard are followed in new installations, plant modification and sustained on existing installation.
5) Provide electrical details and specification required for new projects.
6) Ensure electrical drawings are available, up to date and in good condition for electrical installations on site
7) Responsible for ensuring quality delivery in electrical installation for new projects
8) Enforce compliance to relevant GES on electrical system on site.
9) Support electrical need in the factories and offices.
10) Accountable for upkeep of UPS units, HV panels, LV panels and Distribution units across site.

Job Purpose/Scope The job exists to lead maintenance of all TetraPak equipment and related Processing equipment with emphasis on delivering KPIs for TetraPak equipment in a manner that will constantly result in efficient, reliable, safe and cost effective operation.

Key Responsibilities 1) Lead Tetra maintenance team to deliver maintenance KPIs for Tetra Engineering section
2) Direct supervision, asset care and maintenance up keep of Tetrapak equipment
3) Ensure training and retraining of technicians on repairs and maintenance of all Tetrapak equipment
4) Stock up critical spares; maintain spare parts level to enhance speedy attention to repairs and maintenance locally.
5) Perform TetraPak Maintenance System on all Tetra equipment
6) Ensuring that all TetraPak Equipment are kept in appropriate usable condition at all times.
7) Professional job scheduling and proper work planning to ensure effective preventive maintenance.
8) Provide adequate leadership for the maintenance crew during plant repairs.

3) Good supervisory management knowledge is essential.
4) Must possess good analytical skills and excellent communication skills
5) Must be versatile in equipment testing and repair capability.
6) Versatile in problem solving theories (fault finding and solving trouble shooting).
