ABOUT THE COURSE
Electrical Design and installation is a combination of electrical engineering design and introduction to installation aspects of electrical and power engineering provided by Boerata Energy and Technology to build and enhance the skills of the participant with interest in Design and installation. The module offers a systematic development of skills and knowledge in electrical design and installation based on international codes and standards.
The course is taught using a combination of teaching strategies, facilitated discussions, and hands-on exercises using “real world” project examples related to facilities design. The exercises include activities that will provide each participant with a visual application and concretized knowledge of the principles and practices discussed throughout the course.
COURSE CONTENT
It covers such areas as single line diagram, layout drawings, system studies and calculations, cable selection, cable routing, voltage drop & short circuit calculations, lighting design, power factor improvement, tendering and specifications, cable management systems including raceways and wireways, cabling, service entrance installations, low voltage and extra-low voltage systems, equipment troubleshooting & maintenance etc.
This course provides participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to design install and maintain electrical facilities.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed for fresher & experience engineers from Electrical background and want to work as Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Power Plant Engineer or Personnel involved in EPC activities like, design, fabrication, installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of Power, chemical, Process and offshore plants.
It is also recommended for people from other fields who wish to build and make a career in Electrical Engineering (design, Installation and Maintenance) for both Building services and Oil and Gas industry.
