Everyone trying to show off relevance...
Who says there's not a time for everything under the sun?
Well, my school of though.. walk for work and live to leave..
When the hour comes, we shall know it.. I mean our individual fate.
....God wil see U̶̲̥̅̊ through` are U̶̲̥̅̊ not wit us ?
I'm becoming more and more hopefu as time passes, it is oly God that Grants succx. May God Almighty crown dis final effort of ours wit succx. Big ups every1......
@debrown, God will bless u & ur friends for the huge contribution. more grease 2 ur elbow!
@Dennis B and ABC... This no time to pick on anybody, rather its a time for everyone of us to remain united in our course. Let our thinking now be directed to only what can be done to ensure that employment letters are released before the end of this month.
We need to make our mind on this long running publication, let make a date for the publication and we have to make sure she is in the country b4 the publication, pls what is the situation now?,I think taking this time is seriously risk for long,so how far about the c
Bcos the more the the time the more the recruitment is fading away and there wil be a time when we dare not to talk,as we are praying let's be making the effort of either publication or enquiry as I understand some people are s a red not to put sand in our garri, but honestly we need to be address on the issue because we can't continue like this,@ debrown if it's fact finding let's know cos the silence is too much
@korokoro I concur wid u, let's go for a fact finding mission first if we don't get a substantial answer from dpr then we go for d publication as d second option. The anxiety and silence is killing but if we continue like dis we will b in soap soon
@korokoro and sukcess, dnt let anxiety have a better part of you. We have taken a bould step by agreeing on an open letter to the hon. Min of pet resources, this commendable step will be followed by other constructive steps, which include and not limited to an open letter to Mr. President, one week after the publication of our purported open letter to MPR, on thesame issue. The letter to both Mr. President and MPR should be on a monday, so that FEC might delibrate on it during their wednesday sitting. The paid publications( open letter to the hon. Minister) should be made a week after the Sallah!
@bebrief, can you pls handover the fund, so we can move on with our struggle. The time you gave has elapsed.
@Roz where do u tink we will source another money for another publication after d first one? @debrown and co are trying ol dey can to meet d target for d first publication(of which half of d funds is from nnpc hopefuls) and u are suggesting anoda 200k a week after for another publication to president? My broda, is nt feasible, Do d permutation urself
Lets pipe low and actualize d 1st publication(to honorable pet minister) 1st. 4 effective result plan B and plan A must b disjoint. So d fed govt wldnt nt tink we r set of sponsored noise making lads.....
Our silence is becoming too much, they will be thinking that we forgot about the recruitment or that most of us have gotten another job elsewhere.I suggest we go for fact findings after the publication, so as to continue mounting pressure on them to release the letters, telling them that we are still jobless waiting for them. so that the DPR Director might tell the madam Minister that this boys have been disturbing me about the release of their letters. May God help us. Amin
An eye 4an eye.. No lenz
@all, please there is no need to delay, the fact finding should be scheduled for a week after the publication. I presume the publication will be felt before the end of next week, so the fact finding strategy can commence now. Lets brainstorm so that the end of this month will not pass us by to ascertain the way forward on this recruitment. This is necessary now because the contribution and selfless genrousity of @debrown n friends should get us a publicity on our papers, so now is the time to start another round of strategic move for a physical fact finding mission to the DPR, Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island. We DPR hopefuls are very few as compared to the NNPC. if any of us think that the Lagos hopefuls alone can achieve a quantifiable number to make an impact of reasonable quantum, then we need to have a re-think. So i urge all of from everywhere to put heads together and get our loved ones and friends involved to make the number we require to hit the road. everyone of us has one or more friends or relative(s) who can represent as a hopeful, if we cannot be there physically carrying placards. The point here is that your presence must be felt, because is not enough for us to come here and ginger others to go to the battle front and die for a purpose that will benefit all. My father says that if we all decide pass urine at a particular spot of the ground, we will be producing a foam like reaction, in order words more pressure will be felt. So please a word is enough for the wise, come one come all. This is the time to fight back and take what trely belongs to us by Gods grace. Amen. Ideas please
@all, some hopefuls, including ABC123, have made it clear(from their personal fact findings) that the delay is as a result of non-release of fund from the min of finance, so going on another fact finding is a waste of time, bcos we might get thesame feedback. Let just go ahead with the paid publication on 27/08/2012 after which we can think of other steps to take towards ensuring that offer letters are released.
@NigeriaNewsdesk: [BusinessNews] N300 billion Released for 3Q Capital Projects – FG http://t.co/kuSE5CJA. Well done Reps!Let's hope ........
@TrustTheOnly1.....unfortunately recruitment is recurrent and not capital. They claim recurrent has kept up with pace as stipulated in the budget.we still hope though.....
@Sukcess....any chance we can arrange for a meeting tomorrow in Abuja or any other day convenient for you?
@Bebrief, pls lets have the money so we can proceed. No matter hw busy u are, u can still have a way of transfering the money to Debrown without distorting ur programmes. We are looking forward to making the publication on 27/08/2012, so kindly do the needful to enable the house achieve this aim.
Am seriously in your support,I have said it let's make date for our publication then after we go for protest if there is no response we go for protest,I promise to be available were ever it's going to take place.I don't like the delay unless if there is a sign of positive response, they said delay is dangerous.@debrown has @ debrief surrender the money to you?

The only thing hindering the publication is money, there is no point crying for publication when the targeted amount is not realized. Let's pay up. Have a wonderful weekend

What is the way forward
@all, the holiday is over, so let us move on with our plans. The month is fast coming to an end, yet we have not heard anything from DPR nor MPR even when money has finally been released by the ministry of finance for the completion of projects captured in the 2012 budget. On this vain, I am calling on Bebrief to kindly surrender the fund to Debrown to enable us take this struggle to its next phase.@Bebrief I still dont know why u are still holding on to this money, when there are things to be done with the money. Pls, try not to be a spanner on the wheel of this struggle.@Debrown, u have kept mute for a while now, could it be that u have heard something positive about the process(just thinking aloud). If u do have anything, go ahead and share it instead of keeping mute.
How bout d fact finding mission in directors office? I think is a wise idea for us to know the status of d recruitment before we embark on another publication
Bringing it forward... These days... i seem to searching for this forum...
Any meaningful update?
We have been working behind the scene. I needed to explore all available options before I present to the house for a final decision. Today in particular was very hectic for me as I had meetings in both The Guardian and Punch which are in 2 opposite directions in Lagos. I met with the advert controller of Guardian Mr Henry Onifade in his Rutam House office, Oshodi-Isolo Expressway and thereafter proceeded to another meeting with Mr Martin (Business Editor) and Mr Oni (News Editor) both of Punch newspapers at Punch head office in km 14 Lagos-Ibadan expressway. I had already spoken with the Thisday guys before now. All the papers can give us a discount but we still cannot afford a half page advertorial with them which is ov er N200k after the discount plus 5% VAT.I have N75k with me, I contacted Martin today and he said he will transfer the amount with him to me as soon as he can.So we need about N50k more to pay for a half page advert conveniently. We also have the option of forgetting about the advertorial if we can't afford it and focusing on getting as many papers as possible (say about 5 major papers) to do a story on the recruitment and publish on same day or within same week for impact to be felt. This will cost less or nothing apart from phone calls and logistics. The ball is in your court guys...
