Job Description
Estymol Oil Services’ client is publicly quoted indigenous oil & Gas Company operating in the Nigerian oil sector, engaged in the manufacture and sales of lubricating oils, import and export of petroleum products is seeking a qualified and diligent person to fill the position below:

Job Title: Company Secretary
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities:
Determine the strategic direction for Legal department.
Provide in-house legal advice and opinions on issues relating to the company's business and legal documents on behalf of the company.
Review, amend, vet and perfect agreements, contracts, bonds and other legal documents.
Ensure compliance with various statutory requirements of the law including procurement and renewal of licenses, agreement, etc.
Provide insight and advise management on statutory enactments which may affect the company.
Engage the services of and liaising with external solicitors to prosecute claims and defend lawsuits.

Qualification/Experience:
LL.B (Hons); BL. A professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in post-call general legal practice, with experience in corporate law.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Oil & Gas industry experience will be an added advantage.
Experience relating with shareholders and regulatory authorities will be an added advantage.
