Good day all,
Been getting plenty of enquiries for the Tests sconducted on 29 January, 2011.
The delay might help us in a lot of ways. The six month period between the application and the test enabled me acheive the MCSE-Security status and acquire the ITIL Foundation v3 certification. That skillset will help me in this and, hopefully, other recruitement campaigns.
Besides improving on our skills, the percieved delay could also serve to increase our years of experience as requested on the job advert(pls refer to my previous postings on the subject matter).
As you continue to improve yourself, it would serve us to constantly update our profiles on the Chevron Nigeria Jobs page. Surely, our profiles are currently being reviewed in preparation for the next stage.
Lastly, and most importantly, never forget the importance of sincere heartfelt prayers and have unshakeable faith that God will fix us as he so wishes and in the best positions for us.

No one has been conducted after the test. However (and i stress: in your best interest), prepare for a long wait but include try your best to convince yourself that you ain't losing in the end. Polish your social profile though.

i think all the certification needed for IT/NETWORK/DESKTOP/IM/DATA ANALYST will also cut across all majors like shell,total,mobil,statoil,petrobras....someone gat to start getting certified..

I paid 32,900 @ FirstLogic when i took the ITIL v3 foundation exam in PHC, August 2010.
And if u av all d materials @ hand & already work in an IT environment (say in a support role) then two weeks is surely enough. You will av to dedicate 4 hours a day on d studies to achieve dat.
Its worth d investment tho...

@ doziej84: I stated the fee as 32,900 and that's for the exams only. You don't necessarily need to have worked in an IT role to do well in the exams, especially for the foundation exams; just have a sound understanding of SERVICE CULTURE as it relates to an IT environment.
The length of study depends solely on you (dedication & need to step to the next level). I am a fan of self-study and @ ur request I would be willing avail you wih the right materials you need for the exams (at no charge).
@ tegaho: While I would not be able to authoratively give you an answer, I would also advise that it might not be that easy to gate-crash the exams. At PHC center, we were allowed entry only after displaying our printed IVs and proceeded to be registered with the candidate numbers in the IVs.
You might give it a try just to satisfy your conscience and curiosity.

@ababademosi: The abstract reasoning tests r much lyk what u'ld see in most psychometric samples. Try 4shared.com for applicable SHL samples. GMAT samples are ok. Rather than look for test format just get used to identifying patterns in shape sequences.
Be creative and fast about solving these questions. Study wide & smart.
