Accounting Manager

Description The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for managing a staff of 2 and overseeing the accounting for debt, derivatives, sales and property tax, cash, and other areas of the Corporate balance sheet. The Manager is responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with Company and US GAAP standards.

The candidate must be highly analytical, able to work in a fast paced environment, and be able to problem solve.

Job Specific Responsibilities The Accounting Manager position is responsible for reviewing account reconciliations (with a heavy emphasis on tax and debt related accounts), derivative accounting, general ledger entries, shared service cash accounts, cash settling, and other projects within the Shared Service Accounting Department. This position will also review month-end schedules for Reporting, assist in developing forecasts for interest expense, and other duties as assigned.

Individual with strong managerial, analytical, system and accounting skills to add to our Accounting and Controls team. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded accounting professional who has a great attitude, is eager to learn and is constantly looking for system/process improvements.

Candidate Requirements BS degree Accounting, CPA preferred
3-5 years accounting experience is required

Prior management experience required

Must be willing to travel to Denver to facilitate transition

Prior experience in process transformation required
Strong organizational, problem solving, and communication skills required
Flexible and Adaptable.
Demonstrated analytical skills, problem solving abilities and attention to detail are required.
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively interact and communicate with coworkers and all levels of management.

Knowledgeable in use of various PC applications (ie., Excel, Word, Access).
Advanced knowledge accounting applications: Oracle and HFM preferred.
Strong organizational, problem solving, and communication skills required
