Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
@ALL: there is a phone number at the end of the email. Always call for clarification.
I got the 2nd mail 2 & I'd to call. I was advised to proceed & select my test location because I must have applied for 2 positions. However, the second login ID will be deleted automatically if the system doesn't match me for a second position.
Wrt job, I can't remember applying for 2 positions but considering the fact that I also applied for 2012 Esso-MPN PG Scholarship, I did myself good by following the advice of choosing a location...
I hope it helps...
Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
I am going to try and clarify what is going on as best as i can. IF you got the second email, you probably have two profiles on their system. From the look of things, the second email was sent to people who had submitted "unsolicited engineering position applications" in the past. If you turned in your application last year, you probably got this email. The first email invitation was specifically for those that applied to the 2012 engineering positions this year. Remember how so people were having issues applying for 2012 and decided to use another email? Thats probably why you got a second invitation. I think they are just trying to involve everyone that is qualified (an that has at least turned in an unsolicited application since the 2009 recruitment). Thats just my view sha. IF you got a second invite, just ignore it because it will b a duplicate

Hmmm....@catchwind. I also applied for the Mobil scholarship but when I observed that it was the same phone number as the first invite that was displayed after logging in (I used a different phone no for the scholarship), I struck out the invite as for the Scholarship. But anyway, will proceed as directed. No one knows

Actually, I was told otherwise by one of the dragnet staff.
I was told its a "systemic-type" (can't remember the guys exact words) issue. He said I should disregard the email I received asking me to choose a test location, and they will check their systems to see if the individual has written the test, before sending out a new invite. So hopefully, those of us who have written the test already should not be seeing the actual invitations coming in.

Guy, we're saying the same thing. Dragnet only issues out invitations based on what they get from exxon. The issue originated with exxon. Like i said before, if you've already gotten a test date and you get a second invitation, ignore it.Better yet, just call for clarification
If the invitation is your first, then go ahead and sign up

You prolly have two profiles or you prolly applied to another position last year. Ignore the second one and go for your test. Best of luck. I believe they decided to invite every qualified person that applied to them (including other job postiions) --- Either that or someone in their HR got sloppy
Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
Theres no difference in both emails. maybe some peeps got it as unlimited the first time, but i got mine as engineering recruitment both times. its d same first stage as a lot of us wrote yesterday, cos mobil doesnt ever call for skill test wen they havent concluded the initial dragnet stage. moreover, if it was the skill test, i beleive d content of the email would hv bn different irrespective of the sender. The headline of the email wuld also state otherwise
Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
Ok,i got to speak with a dragnet concerning the email i got yesterday. He said that the "tests are in batches" and that if i don't get a test location selection email from them latest tomorrow,i should ring them up first thing monday. So guys do you get it now? Someone said those that very recently got invitation emails are like those that sent in "unsolicited applications". Well,i never sent an unsolicited application but an application for the engineering positions they recently(1st qtr of this yr) advertised for

How come folks in London were not allowed to use calculators? It seems very fishy to me.
Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
.....and i have also received the email from dragnet but the snag there is that i got two emails with different usernames and password. The difference in the user name was just the last digit of the series. Logged and selected my preferred locationin with one.followed the link on the 2nd email to log in again but the username i used earlier was shown automatically on the portal.
