Job Position: Project Assistant
Type of Contract: Service Contract
Post level: project assistant
Duration: 1 year renewable subject to satisfactory performance
Job description:

• Assist in program elaboration and implementation
• provide logistical support at meeting, seminars and workshops within projects
• prepare and process payment requests ensuring that required payments documents are in order and follow up outstanding issues concerning contracts
• draft correspondence and responses to program queries, follow up ensure timely delivery of mails from programs and maintain proper records
• follow up on arrangements for and confirmation of hotel reservation and settlement of bills
• contribute to activities of other sectors where such activities intersect with the culture sector activities
• perform any other duties deemed necessary by the regional director or cultural program specialist

Qualification:

• degree in human resources, arts social science or any relevant field
• computer literacy is an essential requirement
• excellent use of the English language
• ability to work inter-sectorially and in teams
