• Job Position: Research Administrative Manager

Job description:

• supervise and coordinate the activities of crop utilization laboratory
• conduct analysis on chemicals and functional properties of cassava, yam, banana/plantain, maize, cowpeas and thier food products
• provide expertise in quality control/assurance data
• identify and order all approved equipment chemicals and material for the laboratory
• contribute to capacity building on food analysis and training of youth coppers, Industrial training

Qualification:

• MSc in analytical chemistry or food science/technology or food technology
• good understanding and operational skills of laboratory equipments such as HPLC,XRF, ICP-AES and NIRS
• good understanding of issues related to food quality and safety
• ability to work under minimal supervision
• ability to work long hours

Job position: Project administrative assistant
Job description:

• assist project manager to effectively monitor project budgets
• develop and maintain files records on financial expenditures of various budgets of the projects
• assist in the preparation of annual budget and follow the execution of same
• follow up with YISFWA scientists and project partners to ensure that financial reports are submitter in timely manner
• tracking and monitoring of project expenditures on oracle and provide updated monthly reports at project management meeting
• any other duties assigned by the project manager

Qualification:

• B.Sc/HND accounting, economics finance
• computer literate
• good excellent understanding of budgeting and financial management procedures
• good reporting and communications skills
• ability to coordinate, pirotise and organise workloads
• have good team spirit
