@ Enno, dats true, 2dy's d last day.
Wat Im concerned about is the re-imbursements for our transport fare.
Has anyone received their re-imbursements? Pls let us know.
I think the last set of interviews will be on Nov 2nd.
Heard some pple were prevented from participating in the interview because they have more than 6 months work experience, and some because they are 27 years old, and the requirement states not more than 26 years old!! What kind of a thing is this country turning into?? Why should age discrimination come in when higher institutions do not have smooth running, and even b4 some are able to go for nysc, it's stories upon disappointments!!
And for the person to have scaled all the stages successfully means that he has something good to offer the company, so why should the person not be allowed to participate in the final interview because he's a year older than the specified age??
@toluluck....ur so right but thats the country we live in.Stuffs like this happen everyday.....anywayz,i was one of those dropped by unilever(their loss) bt iv been offered another job with a govt parastatal.when one door closes another opens.God knows where we will all be successful. This is just to encourage those that were dropped.Dont give up.God knows the end.Goodluck to all those that will be picked.I said it before and il say it again,Unilever is darn good place to work.
@Tess.i sent an email to ur yahoo.
waow!! jobhunters, congrats!! I'm happy for u. That is the word -- when one door closes, God opens another!
for those who did the interview on nov 5th, aw did it go?
I heard that about 104 people made it to this final stage and maybe it's only about 15 or 20 that will be absorbed. So guys that have done this interview, go and involve in fasting and prayers oooooo!
Goodluck!
Hi guys, Unilever started dishing out the mails yesterday..i.e rejections and congratulations. Didnt make it tho' so my journey ends here. Its funny but i dnt feel terrible 'guess itz time to fry bigger fishes and challenges ahead of me. Am wishing all who made it tru dis stage Congratulations, dnt jst stop dere...do all within ur power to land this job 'cos Unilever is a terrific place to start a career. And for those who didnt mk it, i wnt u to know dat u r all stars, uve got the potentials but if u are truly fair to urself and the company, uld realize dat they cant take evry1. Nt 2wori, urs is smwhere out there.
You have spoken well.
I'm sure at the assessment center, you'd have noticed how everyone was sound. This is not to say that the selected candidates are necessarily better/would perform necessarily better on the job, after all, the recruitment process is not entirely foolproof.
The important thing is that you've learnt a lot all through the process.
As you rightly said, you now better positioned to face subsequent challenges.
@Zinggi, it's sad tho but just like i said earlier,aw many wud unilever be able to absorb out of about 100 that did the final stage.
Anyway, i'm sure u av learnt a lot from the different stages that will make u av a better edge in any other recruitment process u'll participate in. The river is so wide, so cast ur net in another part of the river and I'm sure u'll catch a bigger fish. Congrats in advance!
Keep on trusting my brother.Quote:

All the guys I interviewed with were really impressive, so at that point it was pretty obvious some very good people were gonna get dropped. I got thru.. For the guys that didn't I wish you all the best with the next try.. Don't let it get to you, it's not easy having made it this far...
All the best guys!
By the way I thought that was the final stage o.. Can you imagine these guys?
The final stage is probably and confirmatory interview with the Head of Units you applied to. Except ofcourse you had that on the same day as the assessment which I doubt.
It is nothing major ofcourse, considering that you aced previous interviews.
So Jhydo, you should abdicate your position on the BAT Application. It's the most honourable thing to do :p
Congratulations are in order I presume
Congratulations to all that made it, i ddnt make it though. Enno Tee, congrats. hope we meet again someday.
@ Zinggi, sori to hear you ddnt make it, lets keep hoping for better opportunities. cheers

Il kip pushing till my name gets written in da sands of tym.
Well all has been said. For those that didn't make it know that God has a plan for everyone and that there has to be a better opportunity waiting for u. I made it and i give God d glory. Everyone in my group was hot, in fact i knew it had to be a very tight decision.
House, i would like to ask the following questions as it is now appropriate to do so;
1. Does anyone have an idea of what the next stage is about?
2. Does anyone have an idea of what the take home package is like?
The package is good enough. Something in N2-3m p.a is in order. The final stage should be a final(usually confirmatory) interview with the head of the unit you applied to. Congratulations
@ Zinggi, yea i have gotten over it. Hopefully better ones are coming. Was grateful i ddnt travel by road n stil wasnt successful, thats my only consolation.
Wish u all the best too.
ches hope thy've sent ur bar....... cos na that one person go take vex...... takia man
Ta! I literally re-read the whole thread. I'm very emosh at the moment...*sniff*
@ Enno, they did send me my dough, although was expecting them to add some more for the stress but they ddnt.

@ Enno, Zinggi wasn't with us, she did hers a day after ours. Anyway, Zinggi is a sheeee.
Which one will you go for, Unilever or Deloitte?
still confused...... i'm still askin God
@zinggi & @Chesonlee: :-X I really empathize with u guyz, I actually just saw this now & wish to encourage you to encourage urself in the Lord. Do not be broken but rather be stronger by renewing ur strength in the Lord. He will make a way where there seems to be no way...Your better offer awaits... ;) This also goes to other hopefuls who have also been rejected. Sorry I haven't been online for quite some time now...I've really been busy
I want to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to those who scaled thru... The Lord will favour you till the end... One love!!! :D ;)
@ gzl, thanks bro. wouldn't pretend that it ddnt hurt, it did. bt i have moved on, n i believe something good will come up very soon. thanks once again.

@gzl and Sign, thanks. Sorry am just replying...bin off naijahotjobs for a while and am just seeing your comments. Thanks guys.
Pls house, someone knowledgeable in this issue shld pls clarify …cos I am hearing a lot of rumours concerning unileve r future leadership programme…
First I heard that they pay 1.2m annually…. How true is that?
Next I heard they pay 4.5m annually………. Which sounds good......
On this thread someone wrote 2.3m annually…….which do we believe?
On the issue of training ….i heard those who qualified will be taken to dubai… for a 6wks training……. Which sounds good……next I heard the training is In Kenya and it takes 3weeks …..meanwhile I don’t think they have a branch in Kenya…..next some say ..the training is in Agbara ….close to lagos and it is strictly.. on the job …. Now which do I believe?
Someone even swore that unilever pays higher than guiness Nigeria …. And now rumour has it that the recruitment process has been stopped…..i am not sure …like said these are all rumours …so nobody should crucify me and these opinions
Pls can anyone give a concrete opinion on these issues plsssssssssssssssss.
I bliv the recruitment process has not been cancelled, and that the next stage is not an intview, but they will be conducting medicals, and introducing the successful candidates at the assessment centre to the HR Directors, and possibly the MD.Quote:

The pay in Nigeria may not be up to this figure, but i dont bliv that the pay is less than 190k per month.
And as for the training in Dubai or UK or anywhere Abroad.... According to Mrs. Kelechi okeahialam its for only exceptional candidates (top performers), and that will be after yearly
appraisal on the job.
Just keep you fingers crossed remember they ssaid they will get back to successful candidates withen the next FEW WEEKS and not few days. we are already in the second week lets just be patient till first week of december and see what happens.
Note: That in all unilever interviews all over the world, the assessment centre is always the last interview. i believe that b4 this friday, successful ones will get a call or mail.
Unilever is not the kind of company that cancels recruitment, i bliv they are all rumours like you rightly said. At least its not a government parastatal. Even if they were to cancel, it will not be at this stage, rather it should have been at the assessment centre stage where they spent several tens of millions.
Even if the job comes it may involve resuming in Jauary of february in the new year, Just like BAT Said that thir successful candidates will resume work between January and March.
So i will advice the candidates that passed the AC to be patient and prayerful. God bless you all
See you at the top!!!!!
thanks yo...any more comments...
@Enno,, where did u hear d gist that the recruitment process has been cancelled?? hmmm,,,dat wont be nice....
They have not cancelled nada! Madam Enno it is certainly not true.
madam enno..never said it has been cancelled..she said rumour has it that it has been cancelled.......lets hope on God....maybe this is the week of the nxt stage...lets keep our fingerz crossed ..... i jst can't wait to meet with you geez...
