JOB TITLE:IT PROJECT PLANNING AND BUDGET SPECIALIST CODE:PPBS 001

JOB DESCRIPTION
Examines budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with procedures and regulations, also create and maintain an information technology project plan that communicates task, status, and resource allocation.

JOB FUNCTIONS
•Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
•Defines resources and schedule for Project Implementation
•Designs and maintain technical and project documentation
•Defines requirements and plan project life cycle deployment
•Define projects scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior
management and stake holders
•Liaise with project stake holders on ongoing basis
•Examining budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with procedures and regulations
•Examining requests for budget revisions, recommended approval or denial, and related correspondence
•Analyzing monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain controls over expenditures
•Providing technical assistance to senior management in the preparation of budgets

EXPERIENCE
•Minimum of 5 years cognate experience working in an IT planning and project management environment

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
•Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification will be an added advantage

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
•A good first degree in Accounting or related field
