NDLEA TEST: READ THE NEWS FROM PUNCH
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has said it has concluded plans to commence the screening of candidates that will fill the vacant positions it recently advertised.
According to the NDLEA, the selection process which will be transparent is geared towards identifying the best and most qualified candidates.
The written test, meant to be the first hurdle to be surmounted by the applicants, is expected to take place in the 36 states and Abuja.
The spokesman of the anti-drug agency, Mitchell Ofoyeju, said all applicants were required to come along to examination centres with their acknowledgement slips.
He said, â€The examination shall be strictly monitored by a competent team of supervisors. Discipline being the hallmark of the agency, will be strictly enforced at all levels. Applicants are reminded that any form of examination malpractice and acts of misconduct shall be dealt with in line with extant rules and regulations.â€
He re-iterated the agency‘s commitment to fairness, adding that there would be no room for mediocrity and favouritism.
Ofoyeju added, â€The applicants should therefore justify their inclusion through exceptional performance. The agency promises to play strictly by the rules so as to sustain the support of Nigerians.â€
The screening is for all applicants that successfully completed the application process.
Meanwhile, SUNDAY PUNCH gathered that applicants for narcotic superintendent and agent cadres will write their test on November 13 and 14, respectively, while the narcotic assistant cadre will be screened between November 10 and 12.
