Re: Masters degree or job
What lies before you ,or what lies behind you does not matter.
What matters is what is inside you.
Re: Masters degree or job
@karson... Cant see how ur comment cud help d posters question. Can u explain further.
@poster, u r understandably in a big DILEMMA!!
However, is it possible 2 accept d job offer & manage 2 finish ur studies?
Or, if u "just started" ur msc, like u said, I wil terminate it for a future time, possibly part-time- but dat is 'if it is me'.
Above all else ask for guidance- and may d blessings of d Great Father BE!
Better days
Re: Masters degree or job
i agree with H-2-O on that.but ask GOD for his guidance and you will see the best.
Re: Masters degree or job
My dear pls take the job and find a way to manage ur master programme, the truth is, theres no job in this country and Job experience out weighs a Masters Degree in the employment market...i had a masters b4 i started working and i knew how hard it was b4 i got a job...but ever since i started working its bin multiple offers and interviews...Just atke d job dear, school situations and programmes can be managed..anyway this only my advice.
Re: Masters degree or job
take the job offer and do your master programme on part time basis
Re: Masters degree or job
@ poster i don't even know why u're confused sef. U have a good job starring u in the face and you are still considering masters. come to think of it, what if u finish the masters and it becomes difficult for u to get another job? what will become of u? But u can get this job and at thesame time do ur masters part time. pls be very wise oh.
Re: Masters degree or job
@stirio, I left a good paying bank job for a masters degree abroad. its been two years now after my graduation and i still have not gotten a job, mean while my colleagues which i left behind are still working and have completed their part time masters degrees,( killing two birds with one stone). Take the job and pursue your masters part time, jobs are hard in naija and I think 150k is not a bad pay. But the decision is yours to take. All the best dear.
Re: Masters degree or job
Certainly I'll advice you go for the job. Afterall, it's basically for you to have an edge over other job seekers without Masters degree that you are in for your masters!
However, it depends on how far you've gone with yours masters programme. If you are on the verge of completing it, then you just have to look for a way to blend both till you are finally through.

Re: Masters degree or job
My Dear, a lot of people has said something positive and i will also advice u not to be confuse but just quietly go and accept the offer.when u were out of job is irrelevant.i wish u d best.
Re: Masters degree or job
hey my advise is quite simple,
let the job be your current priority, and not the masters programme.
There is no age limit to acquiring a masters degree but when it comes to getting a job, age barrier becomes an issue.
Take it from someone (i am referring to myself)who turned down several job offers to successfully complete a masters programme!
Certificates do not tell you how good a person is, it only tells you the quality to expect.
peace! 8)
