Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary:
The company COO must be strong and highly experienced in the service industry to assist the CEO in the day-to-day management of its operations.

Responsibilities:

• Support the CEO in defining the overall strategy of the company
• Management of day-to-day operations by establishing efficient agile processes
• Have logistical and facility operation abilities
• Advise the management team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
• Strategic planning and resource allocation; establish operational processes/ process improvement
• Ensure quality control of all company output as pertains to customer acquisition and delivery of services
• Ensure all department heads are fully informed of operational objectives; set operational and / or performance goals for each department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals
• Establish and monitor performance reporting systems; monitor department performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made
• Conduct regular meetings with department heads to ensure that priorities are clear and coordination is good.
• Ensure activities comply with organisational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations, and general duty of care.

Qualification and Requirements:

• Ability to set priorities; lead, plan and manage change
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong time management and negotiation skills
• Proven track record of effectively leading organizational transformation projects
• Strong ability to energize large teams and keep them motivated
• Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
• Strong management background and excellent project management skills.
• Minimum of 1st degree in a relevant discipline
• MBA is an added advantage
• Minimum of 7 years experience
• Proven result in a similar role and familiar with fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environments
