Qualifications & Experience

Position : Logistics Officer (Sea Freight Operations)
Reports To: Logistics (Sea Freight) Manager

• To ensure timely clearance of shipments
• To ensure adequate follow up on Documentation, Clearing and General day to day Operations.
  
• To ensure proper filing of documents and be in copy of correspondences with Clearing Agents, Freight Forwarders and Suppliers.
  
• BSC Purchasing and Supply or Social Sciences or specialised degree in logistics management / international transport.
  
• MBA will be an advantage
  
• Computer expertise especially in MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, MS Outlook and Internet
  
• Must have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in similar activity
  
• Resourceful, flexible, able to multi-task to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
  
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  
• Must be willing and able to travel.
  
• Working knowledge of common software tools (Excel, Word & MS Office Outlook)
  
• Interpersonal skills
  
• Good organisational and planning skills
