Job Title: Duty Officers
Reports To: Station Manager
Function: Ground Operations
Sub Function: Customer Service
Location: All Aero locations

Purpose Statement:
The Duty Officers are responsible for and co-ordinate the services related to arrival function baggage irregularities, passenger handling activities for Aero flights and, where applicable, code-share partners and third parties according to the standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities

• Provide Aero’s presence at each departure and arrival.
• Resolution of Customer problems and ensuring that passenger needs are met.
• Ensuring Customer Service Agent’s interactions with passengers is extremely flawless and secure customer loyalty by providing exceptional service.
• Manage the airports customer service team in conjunction with the Station Manager and Airport Operations Manager.
• Ensure effective communications on new product, procedures and process.
• Manage immediate team performance issues, including general development & coaching.
• Organise and deliver refresher training on ticketing & other operational areas.
• Authorising lounge access/excess luggage charges etc

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• This position requires a graduate with a Degree/HND or any related discipline relevant to aviation.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take quick and well informed decisions.
• Good all round airline knowledge.
• At least 2 years experience in a similar airline position and proven track record in a supervisory role.
• Willingness to work extra miles.
• Knowledge of airline computer systems.
• The ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with all levels of people.
• Multilingual proficiency will be an advantage.
