Job Details:
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading and managing the HR function of Wärtsilä Nigeria and in close collaboration with Wärtsilä Services global HR network to achieve quality of service and reliable performance.
* Ensuring HRM policies and procedures are in place in accordance with Labour Laws.
* Effectively directing manpower planning, recruitment and retention working closely with hiring managers.
* Design and Delivery of learning and development programs.
Qualifications and Experience required:
* Degree in the Humanities or relevant discipline from a reputable university
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience with increased responsibilities in Human Resource Management preferably with a Global Company
* Proven experience in manpower planning, recruiting and effective selection
* Experience in organizational and employee development with commitment to continuous learning and competency management
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision making skills
* Fluent French (spoken/written) is a plus
* Ability to motivate others and continuously improve systems and processes
* Knowledge of Labour Laws and Employee Relationship Management
* Ability to provide strategic advice and input to Senior and Executive Management
* Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
* Excellent team leadership skills
