Re: The difference b/w Tell us about yourself&may we know you.
To answer your question, there is no difference. Forget what anybody tells you about one being brief and the other detailed. Infact these are only 2 of the many ways in which the question can be asked. Sometimes you could be asked that same question and probably wont realise it. You just need to be relaxed, be yourself, dont restrct yourself to a straightjacketed format. Feel the flow and flow with the feel.

never shortchange urself in an interview. Its better to say more than what ur interviewer wants than to say less than what he expects. In other words, make sure u give a 3 minute advertisement of urself anytime u are asked any of these 2 questions. There is nothing like one is brief and the other is detailed.same ni.
Re: The difference b/w Tell us about yourself&may we know you.
Please the question can be asked either way.
My contribution here is this:
Don't go wasting time talking so much about what they can readily pick from your CV,you can be brief on that except when possibly you want to state your class of degree(if very fantastic).
Tell them some things about yourself that isn't in the CV.
Example:
1.You started leading people from Pry 1 as the class captain.
2.You play so hard(good in sport) and yet came out with outstanding results---multi-tasking.
3.You are always a motivator in a team and go the extra mile assisting team members.
Etc.
Good luck!

They are the same.... an oppourtunity for u to sell yourself...be detailed. Possibly keep talkin until ur interviewer tells u he has heard enuf.
