CREDIT (ADMINISTRATION/MONITORING) & RISK MANAGEMENT (HOD and Officers) needed

A microfinance bank situated in Lagos has urgent vacancies for the following positions:

Head Credit & Risk Management
Qualification, Skills & Experience required:

• BSc degree or equivalent preferably in finance, accounting or Statistics.
• ACA / Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) or other equivalent post graduate / professional degree is an added advantage
• Relevant post-graduation training / qualification in credit, finance or accounting required.
• Minimum of 5-8 years experience in credit & risk management gained from a retail financial institution, with at least 3 years successful direct experience in management at a professional level.
• Experience in managing Retail, small business and personal lending esp as regards inherent risks and mitigants specific to different economic sectors
• Knowledge of product development particularly microfinance related products – such as small business, personal loans etc.
• Experience in appraising credit, loan administration and monitoring, developing processes and managing large credit portfolio,
• Experience in developing and managing enterprise wide credit and risk management policies and ensuring enforcement.
• Proven tract record of success in delivering results and targets.
• High degree of computer literacy, and logical capabilities
• Strong financial analysis and credit writing skills,
• Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills,
• Ability to comprehend and interpret complex documents,
• Excellent leadership, managerial and team building skills,
• Commitment to company’s development mission,
• Sound knowledge of local laws and regulations governing operations of financial institutions,
• Sound knowledge of banking practices, regulatory, risk and compliance issues,
• Ability to hire, train and mentor teams,
• Ability to build and maintain quality loan portfolio,
• Extensive network of key people for business development and staffing

CREDIT & RISK MANAGEMENT OFFICERS
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required

• BSc degree or equivalent preferably in finance, accounting or Statistics.
• Extensive Credit administration, credit appraisal and credit monitoring experience minimum of 2yrs
• Knowledge of banking practices, regulatory, risk and compliance issues
• Implement credit processes and work flows to improve customer service levels and efficiency
• Ensure that appropriate processes are implemented to monitor loans and recover delinquent loans
• Implement Loan Compliance Risk monitoring /testing i.e. checking of records, reviewing credit related transactions, highlighting exceptions and results from monitoring and testing activities and taking corrective actions where necessary
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal resources
• High degree of computer literacy, and logical capabilities
• Strong financial analysis and credit writing skills,
• Strong, proven focus on bottom line performance,
• Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
