JOB VACANCY FOR A CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
A leading established privately owned manufacturing company in Bayelsa State is looking for a Chief Marketing Officer, who will be responsible for the company overall business development and marketing function of the company. The position will report to the Managing Director and will in addition be responsible for the following:
· Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for the company. Support and facilitate development and implementation of segment business/marketing plans.
· Plan and administer the firm's Marketing Operations budget.
· Drive the sales efforts of the company to meet targets.
· Organize and implement client relations including:
- Client satisfaction surveys.
- Work with regional offices on designing and implementing prospects and clients existing contact systems.
· Supervise firm's RFP(request for proposal) protocol process including soliciting RFPs from desirable prospective clients and writing proposals for new business; participate in planning and presentation sessions, when assigned.
· Oversee business development activities including
- Government liaison.
- New branch development.
- New product development.
· Develop and administer marketing database which includes clients and prospects information, mailing list applications, access to financial reports, etc.
· Oversee firm’s electronic marketing efforts including supervision of Web site design and maintenance.
· Enhance and improve the positioning and image of the brand including;
- Adverts and corporate communications.
- Corporate social responsibility.
· Provide strategic marketing support to other group companies and subsidiaries.
Requirements:
· HND or B.Sc in Marketing or any related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution
· MBA or other professional qualification would be an added advantage
· Proven track record in Sales & Marketing of an FMCG company.
· Ability to identify and generate business leads, proposals, opportunities and work protocols
· Ability to develop new channels and effectively work with the channels
· Track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
· Ability to drive the execution of sales plans and product launches
· Must be computer literate with good oral and written English competence.
· Minimum of 5 years experience with at least 3 years relevant experience in FMCG.
Age maximum 40 years.
Salary: Not less than N3m, but performance based.
